Now that I have a decent spirit shield, I can clean all the arenas in Hard difficulty in complete safety, without thinking too much.

he spoke about finish IWing his weapon, maybe his current one doesn't allow him to do too much. but yep, if you walk through Hard, then try raising difficulty.

I do play Hell to IW my weapon you know... just so the rounds don't count in the low difficulty round count. I can't go any higher though.
If I don't play arenas higher than Hard, it's more because it would have a lower credits/time ratio.

Drops improve from:

• Scavenger
• LOTD (barely)
• Quartermaster
• Archaeologist
• Crystarium

SG trophies are the main profit of SG arenas, but as you can see, they aren't affected by any of these. After training/perks, there are some drop benefits from the ordinary monsters in SG arenas, but there are generally few standard monsters per round in SG arenas, and the rounds take longer than usual, so the overall improvement in SG arenas from training/perks is minimal.

On the other hand, in ordinary arenas and GF, all 4 of those drop improvements moderately help; there are generally more standard monsters per round, and none are particularly tanky, so it doesn't take long to finish the round. But - in arenas, a substantial fraction of income comes from credit drops, which isn't affected in any significant way by training/perks. So by training, income per round increases more in standard arenas than it does in SG arenas, but not by a whole lot.

GF is where those training/perks really shine, because (static) credit drops are minimal, and [crystals, equip drops, artifact drops] together make up the vast majority of income - all of which are substantially improved by those drop improvements mentioned before. So getting training/perks most increases GF income.

Note that this is rate of change in income, not absolute income; even with training, GF might still not be as profitable as certain other battle series'. Check Income Summary to get absolute numbers.
GF is 1000 rounds, which requires 20 stamina if you're below 80 (30 stamina max). So you'll recover enough stamina to play a bit more than one GF per day, without using any energy drinks.

So you're basically depending on training improvements, artifacts and jackpot equipment drops in PF/regular arenas, plus crystals in PF GF, in order to beat the trophy income from SG arenas? Sorry if I sound dense here and if this is a wrong analysis on my part. If people are actually making a better living on that then SG arenas, then I just need to try it out and see for myself.

And what is the wild ballpark estimates on the time you will spend finishing PF Fest given 7578 ABD and armed with Infusion of Darkness and Holy Strike? My hit chance is 169% and 39% crit chance. BTW income summary for some reason kept crashing my Iron browser as soon as I installed it. I'm going to try it again with the new operating system when it's done installing tonight.

If your Crystarium isn't high enough, a PF fest is mostly going to be a waste of time and it would be better off doing SG Arenas.

Personally, I'd never factor in high-value equipment drops when trying to decide which battles to play. They're much too unpredictable.

It depends on difficulty. For example, if you're playing SG arenas on Hell or above, then yes, others are definitely doing better on other battle series.

To determine which battles will be most profitable, record your different options a few times (on different difficulties) with Income Summary and look at which have the highest credits/turn.
