QUOTE(ppp82p @ Sep 18 2016, 19:05) It depends on the country. In some countries that's normal (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) I heard in Germany, the average Forklift driver makes an equivalent of $39 an hour, and the starting vacation package for every job there is 6 weeks a year. Of course, I heard that from a Forklift driver wanting a raise. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) But someone else was confirming the vacation packages there are phenomenal, and 40 hours means 40 hours for salary workers. In the U.S. for Salary, 40 hours usually means at least 50 to 55 hours. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif)

I think the 6weeks / year are pretty common across Europe. In Italy we have around 4 weeks / year mandatory (meaning you must take them) plus 2-3 additional weeks (depends on contract). $39/h for a forklift driver seems a bit hard to believe honestly, salaries around Europe are not that different (even Switzerland, which is like Eldorado, only have roughly double the pay) and that amount is very very high.

I have a cousin that works in germany and his wage is about 2,5 times more the one my father has. And they do the same work (engineer) (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) This post has been edited by ppp82p: Sep 19 2016, 14:43

From the information I have [ en.wikipedia.org] this page should have more or less correct info about average wages. (Switzerland is fucking crazy, I would kill to get a work there)

you know you also have to consider how much you spend on rents, food and such, right? what's the point in earning twice or even thrice if bread and milk are priced 4 or 5 times?

Normal office work and/or normal manual work probably hasn't a big variation between countries, at least in europe. But work of a higher level or very dangerous ones (like working in a cave) are very well paid in some contries where in others (like Italy) they're paid even less than a mere office work.

italy has a really perverted way of retribution. just today i spoke with my parents about when Fornero said how youngsters were choosy and cried on tv because nobody allowed her to do reforms

Wow... 6 weeks a year.. The vacation policy for salary where I work (And it's a Global Corporation) is "No limit Vacation" We can take as much as we feel we can take and still perform our jobs. Sound good? Of course it doesn't. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Vacations are rare due to the policy. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) Because when is anyone in the entire world ever caught up enough to take it? I take a week.... sometimes 2 weeks max a year. Those max 2 weeks are never combined. QUOTE(ppp82p @ Sep 19 2016, 14:29) I have a cousin that works in germany and his wage is about 2,5 times more the one my father has. And they do the same work (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Germany should be making a fortune on their cars alone! We suck up BMWs and Mercedes over here like they're candy. Especially since the last decade when they started making middle and lower class models. Going down the interstate, a person where I live is surrounded by BMW 300 series. 500's are common and the occasional 700's , but especially 300's. Twenty-somethings eat them up. The Mercedes 350 series? 5 or 6 at every grocery store parking lot at any time. The joke we have at work is that the country of Germany does not have enough land to park all of our BMWs and Mercedes. Really? Imma be a forklist driver then. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) Do I have to know german to work in germany? At $39 an hour, assuming a 40 hour workweek and 4 weeks a month, that's $6240

So true. Can you imagine the cost of buying a house in Switzerland? Gasp. Is it even possible?? Renting an apartment there is probably astronomical. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) Edit: I'm over posting. I apologize. time to get out the door anyway. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) With 1500-2000CHF you can rent a very nice apartment (I have a friend working there). When you're getting 6000 every month it's not really a problem. Or you can also live in Italy/France/Germany and work in Switzerland, which is the best of both world as long as the workplace is near the borders. And I agree we are over-posting OT.

QUOTE(ppp82p @ Sep 20 2016, 17:56) Op >>>>>>> Fatality (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Agreed. QUOTE(Scremaz @ Sep 20 2016, 19:47) but this way i won't have 85% crit damage anymore! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) No amount of crit damage helps if you can't land hits (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif) Fatality is really nice though, especially for off hand since Butcher has less effect. If you are lucky, you might still get Fatality as a second potency.

1 day ago: Galleries will still be available in read-only mode, other services will generally be unavailable. Estimated downtime is 6-8 hours. 1 day ago: The upcoming Saturday, on the 24th at 10:00 CEST, we'll have some extended downtime due to "urgent" power maintenance at our primary host.
is it meant that we won't be able to play HV on next caturday?
