I use my Lottery won Nimble Rapier occasionally for Grindfest and DW experimenting. I won it with one ticket and didn't really need it, but I didn't want to leave it unused, so I did IW and upgraded it according to my budget. However, I admit that there are tons of Lottery prizes that even I wouldn't find any use for, those would be just rotting in my inventory too. In those Lotteries I will only buy one ticket and hope I don't win the 1st prize.

you know that not seeing an IW isn't absolutely a way to discern between used and unused items, right?

Obviously condition is the other thing to look for. Many lower level players might not do IW or do only partial IW on Lottery prizes, but still use them (I have noticed this before) and other players might not think the IW is worth it for what they won. However, especially on weapons IW is pretty much mandatory and not many serious players will leave their better gear without IW.

You could argue that maybe they used the equipment, but repaired it and didn't do IW, but I think that's not very common. Also there could be some high level players with Repair Bear Mk.4 whose equipment will not wear, but I doubt they would leave equipment they really use without IW.

Pretty much, if he posted he would probably get the cookies in the forum (it's easier to do the check there than to have a millions jobs running for every little thing).

It's still a 100+M equip, I'm pretty sure he will use it if he gets other wind gear.

That could actually work! Did you already suggest it in the feature suggestions thread? Alternatively we could stop with 2nd and 3rd prices and just make them separate lotteries

Just let the first winner get all 5 prizes. The second winner get 2-5 prize, etc...
