The upgrade was much smaller than I had anticipated. Pretty disappointed.

In my experience, this game at your/our level is about a lot of small improvements. Your anticipated big improvement doesn't happen in one go. Then after a while, all improvements and leveling and prof build up to a big difference.

It still seems quite strange.
Just that swap should have meant, at least, a 5-6% improvement in speed, which is quite noticeable.
Not sure how big was the expected improvement.

Hello, everyone, I am currently working on upgrading acronym page, since it is very outdated and hasn't got modern and popular acronyms/slang.

So, there are some question, I would like to ask:

1) Obsolete stuff. There are some very odd acronyms, I believe, stayed from previous version of the game, or do they?

• SF - Soul Fire. Do I understand right, that few patches ago there are was some special spell with soul damage (as well monsters had "soul resistance" as well specific crystals type?). For now on, we haven't got this spell and we can get rid of this acronym? I see that holy mage have got some special ability, named this way, but this is just a coincidence, I think - I never seen anyone use SF on forum, actually.
• OB - Overcharge Boost. Same question as above one, this time OB means some obsolete ability, isn't?
• TBP - The Big Picture. I believe this perk named "Source nexus" nowadays

2) What this stuff means? There are few acronyms, I don't really understand what they mean, need a friendly hand here to help

• WD - [[Weapon]] Damage. I guess this means "Attack Damage Bonus" of weapons, isn't it? Do we need this acronym then? Everybody are talking about ADB, never about WD.
• ED - Effective Damage. This means "[Attack] minus [mitigation]"?
• EHP - [[Character_Stats#Points|Effective Health Point(s). This means "Base HP"?

3) Do we really need this? I see some acronyms noone use or overly useless (imho). Maybe some patches ago we used them, but for now they are obsolete, I guess. Correct me, before I started doing stupid things:

• BC - Battlecaster, EW - Earth-Walker, SD - Shadowdancer, Ele - Elemental. Seriously? I see nothing special about that suffixes/prefixes at all, maybe few patches ago, they were kinda awesome or uber-unbalanced, but for today they are just a mediocre/good suffix and prefixes.
• Eth - Ethereal. No doubt, Ethereal is great prefix, but do we really use this acronyms? =)
• FB - Frenzied Blows, GC - Great Cleave, CS - Concussive Strike, IS - Iris Strike, SS - Shatter Strike. I don't mind skills overall, but do we really need acronyming them? I don't remember I personally talked about skills in past two month. And after 300 level I stop using them at all (apart from that awesome skill, that afford me to kill FSM when he have 25%)
• MBP - Manbearpig. Come on, this guy? Why not other bosses then?
• ISB - Item Shop Bot. Same as everything above.
• EQ - Equipment. I don't know, from what I see, everybody are just using "equipment", "equips", and "gears", never seen EQ. To be honest, when I see EQ, I am thinking about Exquisite-quality gears.
• EoD - End of Days or Eve of Death. Are we using them really? From all arenas, everyone are talking about DwD only

4) Appropriate links. I see some mislinking, I will fix in a update.

• ED. Now: Items#Items.23Other_Restoratives | Should be: Items#Other_Restoratives
• DwD. Now: Bestiary#A_Dance_With_Dragons | Should be: Arena#Arena_Challenges
• Eth. Now: Ethereal#Ethereal | Should be: Equipment_Prefixes#Ethereal
• MPB. Now: Proficiency | Should be: Proficiency#Magic_Proficiencies
• SD. Now: Equipment_Suffixes | Should be: Equipment_Suffixes#Light_Armor

5) Duplicate. We have some duplicate acronyms

• G - Gallery Point(s) and GP - Gallery Point(s)
• EXP - Experience Point(s) and XP - Experience Point(s)
• RoE - Rules of Engagement (broken link, bytheway) and ToS - Terms od Service

6) What acronyms we should add into this pages?
For example, I don't see acronyms for:

• CR - Crystallized Phazon
• SF - Shade Fragment
• RA - Repurposed Actuator
• DMM - Defense Matrix Modulator
• BoS - Binding of Slaughter
• BoD - Binding of Destruction
• BoP - Binding of Protection
• Fat - Fatality Potency
• But - Butcher Potency
• ROI - Return on investment
• HGC - High-Grade Cotton
• HGW - High-Grade Wood
• HGM - High-Grade Metal
• HGL - High-Grade Leather
• T/S and TpS - Turn per Second
• LE - Last Elixir

yes, there were. Astral weapons for Soul damage (now re-rolled on either Holy or Dark), Shielding Aura suffix for mitigation and Crystals of Quintessence for monster mitigation. all of them were retired.

yep. iirc there was an item which allowed to go past 250% OC. not sure which was though.

they don't hurt so much. either way, SD and BC are still used nowadays.

Oh yeah, it was at least that if not a bit more. The thing is that the weapon itself almost doubled in strength though.
