I'm not 100% sure, but if the script is installed, then everything you scan will probably be sent. See:

If you want to be sure, install the script and Firebug, and scan something while looking at the Net panel.

Not really, but there isn't much more I can justify investing in, even though my current gear is mostly trashy and only lightly forged for someone of my level. My other options: I could pay 48m for the next damage perk and get 0.01x more clear speed. I could also pay 20m and forge my gears more and get 0.005x more clear speed.

I really really want to buy Suffusive Spirit, but the perk is currently useless.

I remember last time I spent multiple tens of millions on gear upgrades, 0.82 came out shortly thereafter and rendered them high-grade scrap. It's been said that we also have a rebalancing patch on the horizon. I don't want to risk that happening again, though unfortunately there's no telling whether it'll come out tomorrow or in 3 years. Guess I'm just risk-averse.

Fair enough I guess. I was just curious since you have been the one recommending low PL monsters and you also seem to be pretty analytic about the profitability of playing styles, upgrades and Monster Lab. I thought you might have found a new balance between costs of upgrading monsters and the payback time, in other words: new ideal PL.

As you saw from looking up my monster, I have a bit different approach to Monster Lab, as I have said before:

I never really intended to make Monster Lab profitable, I do it for fun. I can buy the materials anyway, so I just want to make one monster that someone might find annoying (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

Speaking of the HV Monster List, I also noticed that you can see some high PL monster trainers who have been (probably) banned by looking at the list. Since PL 1000+ monsters don't get deactivated, you can assume that any high PL monsters that appear red on the list and have not been scanned for months are probably made by banned users. For example monsters 19qun and Minidorami that used to appear very frequently are both red. I suppose the dead giveaway was looking up 19qun (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) I think the list has also grown recently, if I recall correctly it had only ~2800 monsters few months ago and now it has ~5200. I think that it would grow significantly if more low level players used the script, but at the moment I assume most of the increase comes from the new 1000+ PL monsters made by some high level players.
