Actually I didn't do anything. I just played few arenas, decided to check forum, visit one thread and have found that my level now shown properly. Didn't change sets or titles at all.

I fought a random encounter right before Hentaiverse went down and got a Fine quality equipment and five Soul Fragments, but my computer restarted right before I could grab a screenshot (fucking Windows Update).

Seems weird for sure. Could you get multiple Soul Fragments per battle in an older version of the game?

There is the persona system, and it seems all there.
