yep. 70% is very high of a value. just to give you an example, back then my shield (0.83 patch) was quite close to LMax and with maxed prof and 25 forge level i'm barely at 60%. i guess you will need BOTH high level and max forge to reach that goal - if even! basically you're saying you are able to block (2 hits out of 3) ~ (3 hits out of 4)

I have got a new force shield yesterday in Aria's auction. I think I can reach 65% block with proficiency and the shield alone. Not sure does it worth salvaging my old shield.

P.S.
Although the new shield lacking STR, but I don't think STR is that important. My only concern is weather should I wait for a Leg max block force shield instead.

You need very great force shield or buckler of barrier plus very high lvl for reach that 70% , colman (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

I am not saying you have a lot of credits. I do think you can collect a large sum easily by selling what you have.

1M? you could've offered way less and still winning it. but if you thought it was worth to go all-out to be sure - well, who am i to tell you how to spend your credits?

btw, base 37.84. it should become 46.19 when soulbound. 52.11 with maxed prof, if my math is right. to reach 65% you need a 1.25 forge multiplier, thus forging it 25 times. just in time to not use Coruscatings. and you will have 33 matrixes available from your old shield. it seems you're right.
should you do it, please tell me if my math is correct (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

it's better than your old shield. surely worth salvaging.
i too think STR is a bit overvalued. you may lose a bit of ADB, but not something to worry about when you have Void Strike, dual strikes, Counters, blah blah blah.
as for block, it's roughly 75% on the L range. on the mid-high tier, i'd say. the shield i forged has exactly the same block and i think i did well (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

Isn't 5% like a lot?
I remember that Dæmon Duality did increase my 1H speed of ~6-7%, and with 1H I'm attacking in like >95% of the turns.
With imperil mage it seems attack spell turns are 50-60% of total turns so to get 5% faster you would probably need 15% or so higher damage.
It seems a significant improvement to me.

not only. it seems to me that little by little people started to think that auctions are way more efficient. being it true or not, it also contributed to the decline of regular shops.
another reason may be personal tastes: one may have a grudge against a certain person, so no matter what he sells - we won't absolutely buy anything from him/her/it.
last but not the least, WTS stuff tend to be overpriced at times: who the hell may want to buy a Leg Leather bounded at lv450+ for 1M? you can tell me that it's Reinforced and Protection as much as you want, but you can afford even a Peerless for that amount (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
