Monsters have reduced defenses so far as I can tell, which is great for mages. However, they also seem to do MORE damage. This is more noticeable with Legendaries or on higher difficulties. If this is the case, did melees just get screwed even more?

Some other people will need to confirm though. I can only go by my limited experience thus far.

Havent noticed it because i started killing things with one hit :/

I haven't noticed anything, and I've been two-handing since the patch came out. But I could just be used to it, I've been through several OMGNERFRAPE patches already.

Due to the last update of HV
I cancelled the project of selling Soul Stone in WTS
Cuz everything is cheaper now.
Although the gem's effect is enhanced but......
It will be MUCH MUCH MUCH HARDER to earn money--I mean credits.

AlexKay what "invulnerable for 5 turns" are you talking about?
From what I see of the advantages in wiping out mobs with ease:

1. Mobs and Bosses got turned into herbivores (the extra damage they do is pathetic when you take into account evade, SV, parry, etc)
2. Health/Mana Potions now own, Draughts should be poured down the sink.
3. You get plenty of extra scroll/infusion slots for the respectable God/long grind/IW fight. You can actually use the cheap scrolls/infusions for the regular runs and save the good stuff for the RoB/Arenas.

Did I miss anything? What other advantages do players get now to become uber powerful in blowing rounds?

Also the artifact price is kind of important to lower level players now. Assuming you already won all the Arenas/RoBs and blew the rewards, artifacts are perhaps the only major moneymaker for you now. So if high level players are no longer willing to shell out the cash for them the same with hath/equip then there really is no good way to make decent money anymore. The only good side here is that credits are like gold now, they are valuable and rare. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

Edit: It looks like SP elixirs have some use in the near future. Scan is interesting, but I don't know what kind of skill is worth it to take SP items.

ya, when I was doing some arenas I was getting hit hard the first few rounds while I try and get all my battle spells cast using channeling. It was on both normal and battletoads.

btw why is the sale price of health elixirs only 50 where its 100 for mana/spirit

When you die and have spark of life activated, you become invulnerable for 5 turns so you can heal full hp and such, but if you use another spark of life in one of those turns you will be immortal

Your saying if I die and use a new spark of life spell during the 5 turn invulnerable I get PERMANENT invulnerability for the rest of the round?!! This would rape the Gods and everything else! Are you sure you didn't make a typo? I got to test that out.

Ok, so I had a bunch of trophies left over from before the patch. I was debating whether or not to just sell them, but I decided to eat the credit loss and offer them. All to cloth like I normally do, to test the new gossamer mechanics.

Elementalist gear is going to be a pain in the ass to find now.
In something like 300 trophies I got:
1 elementalist
2 curse-weaver
2 earth-walker
2 demon-fiend
1 heaven-sent
1 priestess
a bunch of fox/owl

So yeah, no more plentiful elementalist pieces. The two demon-fiend pieces and the elementalist piece I got were decent so yay for that. But those additional suffixes further drop the rate of the elementalist suffix.

And if the new patch did in fact make it harder for melees. Lol (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

What infinite scrolls are you talking about? They got rid of the God and Avatar Scrolls from the Bazaar. And I only get 3 or 4 extra scroll slots in my ability tree. I don't see anything here that would make it "unlimited" unless you mean I carry extra scrolls in my item slots but thats only 9 more slots...

Scrolls slots and infusion slots automatically replenish even in battle now. Right after you use one. That means, so long as you have enough scrolls in your inventory, you can keep using them indefinitely.

Wow. Thanks. I didn't read the patch yet, too busy reading here... This means I only need 1 Slot of each. I going over to peruse the patch notes now. Something tells me I'm gonna find a lot more unpleasant surprises.

If HV was designed as both a credit sink and incentive to donate to get to high levels... then as others have said, theres now limited incentive to get to those high levels... I can download all the galleries I want with the GP I get from my galleries, but I wanted to get to 200+ to be able to afford all those hath perks...(all of which would be HV-related perks) Bleh... If I continue playing (Yea.. those chaos tokens better be something good).. then I'm lucky I have a decent elementalist and silk set to work with...

Double posting because I'm not sure if people would notice an edit:

While the auction market is presumably going to die, who were you guys normally selling the non-auction quality gear to? If it was to lower level people (50-150), then you could try selling at 4x bazaar price (2x old bazaar price), since those lower level people, for the short-term at least, will have more credits.

Are mana potions not restoring the amount they're supposed to? They seem to be only restoring half the amount stated per turn, its what I noticed with greater mana potions anyways.
