QUOTE(Void Domain @ Jan 9 2016, 00:25) Because the item shop bot is shit, we have to use peer to peer trading etc etc.
QUOTE(nobody_xxx @ Jan 9 2016, 00:48) nice (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif) High demand for mats lately (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) A single old player, who have 100+ PL1000+ army, can dash out 5 digit of HG materials. Only a few people has big stock and you have to contact them one by one. And some are too lazy to sell. If we have a proper item shop bot like the hath exchange people can just afk sell/buy.

I have suggest to make an auction shop for everything like in most MMORPG, but the answer is always a big "NOPE, TOO MUCH TO CODE"

"NOPE, TOO MUCH TO CODE" The issue is clearly not "too much code". All it would require is to reduce or remove the minimum price number on ISB, and to change the profit stealing from 50% to something reasonable like 2% like with the other exchanges. But for some reason, it is desired for everyone to do everything manually, and to get them to look through each of the 100 shop pages in order to figure out the exact best price for a transaction.

That's not really true. It takes a month or more to save up hundreds of HGx. At that rate, you can fully forge one item for a set in what.. a year? (takes at least a couple thousand) You plebs consume way more than we 'high level' players can generate. HGx is pricey because it's RARE.

You have to be the one make the torrent or own the gallery. If still yes, you should go to the help forum (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

All it would require is to reduce or remove the minimum price number on ISB, and to change the profit stealing from 50% to something reasonable like 2% like with the other exchanges. And display the actual price you'd get, not just the highest bid. And then you'd still have to manually sell 500 mid-grade metals one at a time to avoid getting skunked since it doesn't display how many units the offer is good for. To completely automate things, would need some more code. QUOTE(Tenboro @ May 1 2015, 20:48) I do plan to add an exchange-like feature at some point, but it's quite a bit of work to get right, and hasn't been a priority since people can always find a way to trade stuff. "and not see these changes in the toplists until the following day or two." If it doesn't show up within 3-4 days, then maybe there is a problem.

To completely automate things, would need some more code. Yeah, I suppose to be perfectly clear it would have to display (highest bid * 0.98). Still, if the ISB is made usable, buy prices will be very predictable (much more than they are now, with no one using it), and anyone with a bit of market sense would see which few items have a listed price significantly higher than normal. Even if nothing is changed but the profit stealing % and minimum price, it would change from " completely unusable" to " the most convenient method to buy and sell" despite an imperfect interface. Strange to spend the effort to code up everything in ISB, which would be a great system, only to render it meaningless by adding those two extra constraints.

I think the ISB should charge the buyer for the exact current highest bid and not 2nd highest +1c. As it is, while bidding at 80,000c, i can get away with paying 72002c for a Binding of Destruction (since 2nd highest bid was 72,001c). QUOTE 2016-01-08 16:41 -72002 Auto-buy: 1x Binding of Destruction

http://ehwiki.org/wiki/EHTracker#Rewards says GP depends on size of the torrent, but it doesn't say that toplist points do. If toplist points depend only on completions and seedmins, and seedmins count even if the gallery is never downloaded, then maybe you're being pushed off the toplist by people who spam torrents on small galleries and dead galleries.
