I had to IW my waki (4 days), then finish IWing my katana (an other 4 days) and then was ok to move on, but now i have to IW also my new shield (4 days), so... if you can wait all that we can see to it (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

oh i forgot to mention i need to IW my full light armor set...

many veterans may tell you're wrong. but actually i cannot give up my rapier/waki's 82% Parry, so for now club/rapier it's not a priority (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Well, the veterans and me won't agree on the Dw, that's for sure. I also like shortsword/rapier that i think all veterans consider bad. Well, it worked fine for me for that little i tried it.
But as for club/rapier... slow clears plus the "safety" was an illusion. If i have to be slow why even try DW? No?

Not like i tried it that much to be an expert.
I just had that day when i told myself "go for it" and put up a thunder shortsword of balance (didn't even have slaughter) with a waki (also balance), enchanted and went to clear T&T at PF. Finished it smooth and clean. Well, not THAT clean, since i had to heal a lot, but still nothing i would say i had a hard time to deal with.

The easy way is if you are also forging the equip. For example for one equip I wasted over 200 shards trying to get to jug 5 but then used this method and got jug 5 near instantly.


Lots of people are already doing it. Basically you use forging to get to jug 1 or jug 2 before going into Item world and you will end up with jug 5 far easier.


Poverty method: Unlock the first potency using the first 5 forges to save mats and salvage and buy back the item when you run out of those to forge. (saves mats)

Fast method: forge item to unlock the first two potencies, if you get jug 1 continue otherwise reforge and try again. If you get jug 1 try for jug 2 if not then reforge.

Benefit: Rapid: you can unlock two potencies and reforge in less than a minute. Once you have Jug 2 unlocked within the first two potencies then you are far more likely to IW Jug 5. So you can have 10 plus attempts to get Jug 2 in time it takes most people to do one IW.


Baller Method: If you are heavy forging you don't even need item world, I got four of my latest phase to jug 5 with zero IW. Unless you are a super rich shop owner or auctioneer then this method is only good for your own equips.

yep. 82.2 Parry isn't so hard to reach with the right gears and a bit of forging. maybe with a Rapier of Nimble and fully forging both weapons i may reach 85 or so, but it seems quite a waste of credits for such low update.
especially if you consider that with >50% Evade such improvements is somehow halved (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

you don't. you forge stats, and this raises PXP as well. if you forge enough, you can unlock some potencies via forging. if item is soulfused it will still gain 2x PXP
