I haven't bought any fragments.

It's a trade-off. Good low level gear is rare, and so is expensive. Good high level gear is common, and so is cheap. Have lots of soul fragments? Get higher-level gear and save some in credits. Have a lot of credits? Then you're more able to afford pricey low-level gear and can save your fragments.

I see people on woodworking sites who are debating with themselves whether to get a Starrett square. They'd really like to have one, but they're not sure they'd use it enough to justify the expense. And I'm like, pooh, I have two. I barely use them but, unlike you, I can afford them.
