SS and HS active. No gum no flowers. Target untouched, no PA. Could have screencapped, but was too surprised atm.

A target with more than 25% health simply takes damage.

You just rolled enough damage to one-shot it.

Maybe I just underestimated it's base damage then.

How is it possible to 1-shot a mob at full HP with Merciful Blow and without the necessary conditions? Even with SS and HS active, it's not even supposed to be lethal.

Did you use a Hallowed/Fiery-prefixed weapon? Undead is weak against these two elementals.
Not sure if a prefix affects the damage of Merciful Blow, though.

It was an undead with a plvl of 1080.

I just noticed that was a critical hit, maybe you wear Of Balance gear? Furthermore, are you sure that mob was not stunned due to counter attack? That would add x5 damage if i'm not mistaken.

mind you, SS on means +100% your damage and HS on means another +25, plus a certain amount of crit damage (which is already +50% base damage, plus a variable amount given by fatality level and armors stats) depending on the numbers of APs spent. and that merciful was exactly a crit. having those two on isn't so negligible afterall, it basically tripled or so its effect (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Mob wasn't stunned. Anyway to sum it up, it seems I just underestimated Merciful Blow's damage.

There's getting close to 10. From what i've seen, lots of people are damn close.

I dunno... The random encounter drop tier boost in 0.82 meant that lots of Legs dropped for mid-levels who could clear random encounters @ PFUDOR. That was a good thing, in my opinion, but it feels as though Tenboro has nerfed the random encounter drop drop tier boost.
