A contribution is a contribution. I'm not someone who thinks different contributors deserve more or less. There is a reason why Tenboro offers rewards for h@h. But contrary to your belief, you're not an adminstrator here, so you have no idea what you're talking about. This site needs all contributions to run. It's actually pathetic that you complain but don't do anything about it. You can rent servers, donate, no one is stopping you. I don't believe I have ever whined about uploaders earning GP.

Just an idea, but perhaps it has something to do with how donations and H@H are the most essential elements for a site like this. Without them, the site likely wouldn't even exist (or would have many more and more intrusive ads). All other contributions very much pale in comparison, I would think. Rating and reviewing? Occasionally informative, but so what? Title correcting? Mostly OCD after the first Eng <=> Jap is done. Tagging? Very nice, but not 100% essential. Uploads/galleries? Well, people would surely upload regardless, though quality and content is debatable. E-H would be popular anyway. Many can and do spend time to help out in various ways, but the contribution of real-world resources to maintain the servers remains the most important thing.

Still, it seems that H@H is often quite underutilized, even the Asia/Oceania section. I think we're way past the point where more servers would have a notable positive effect, yet the incentives/rewards remain the same - when there are other areas where attention might be better paid. The current system was designed when there was not an overabundance of H@H clients.

Ah... I don't think shards would best be labeled credit sinks, since they're all found by and traded between players, and no credits are eaten by the system.

It just gets to me when the first thing you proposed as a solution was "Can't I just throw money to make it go away?" lol. I mean, why even play the game when everything can be solved with just paying real money for hath, and then converting all those hath to credits?

And when I'm arguing for changes, I'm usually with the mindset with regards of the game itself, not with "it's good for keeping site alive". Yeah yeah, I know you NEED to keep the site alive, but I don't approve of killing the game's fun by turning it into a massive pay-fest just to make it happen. I remember the time when non-payers can barely win in auctions because hath barons just compete among themselves to get the best equipment.

And yeah, I can easily set up or pay for hath servers myself, but I'll probably get called a hypocrite or something after all my criticism of the system lol.
