I just salvage trash quality phase, shade and power armour and I have a surplus of energy cells.

What's your definition of trash? I just looked in my inventory and had two trash phase pieces:

Superior Phase Gloves of Heimdall (829 credits)
Superior Phase Gloves of Surtr (982 credits)

Salvaging the Heimdall ones gave me 1 Energy Cell, while the Surtr ones gave me 2 Energy Cells. Had I sold them instead I could have purchased 9 Energy Cells. Based on that it's not worth it, although I've noticed that the Energy Cell yield can vary quite a bit so maybe it works out in the long run? Or maybe it works out if you salvage trash that's worse than superior?

The Energy Cell upkeep doesn't seem high enough for me to justify salvaging magnificent rare-tier equipment, nor does the Energy Cell yield from doing so. For me the Energy Cell costs work out to something like less than 10,000 credits every few days, which is really not enough to motivate me into doing something.

salvaging mag force shield and phase has always been more profitable, since HG cloth and HG wood are worth much more than what the bazzaar offer (2-3k)

mag power used more dependent on HG metal price, but energy cells make salvaging more profitable most of the time

only bazzaaring mag shade makes sense, but who would buy shade from the bazzaar anyway?

For me personally, trash quality phase = mag with non-radiant/mystic suffix or 2pab

I think it's better just buy those cell from shop rather than get them from salvaging (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

Yes, it works out to salvage Average rare gear.

i just came to realise the implication of Energy Cell. It essentially encourages you to salvage all your mag+ T3 (even shade) instead of bazzaring them. Now it'll become even harder to find a mag+ T3 piece in the bazzaar.

Salvaging still does not yield much EC. Most of the time it's more profitable to bazaar the rare tier equipments.

With T3 rotation and no imperil on PF?

Deciding which is better for 5 cotton elemental mage. May use 1-2 supportive cottons for more heal power.

1. 2 element rotation of T3/T3/T2/T2/attack. Can use willow staff
2. 4 element roataion of T3/T3/T3/T3/attack. Need redwood staff.

Playing on PF doesn't seem a good idea for both setup without imperil.

Nope. I started out with 5 Heaven-sent prof cotton + Hallowed Oak of Focus......with 2k Magic score, which, at that time, I used to think was decent. Then I came to learn about the 20k+ Magic scores. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I started out with full cotton because I though that repairing a full phase build would be costly.

I have noticed for weeks now that on low difficulties (hell or below) i get more artifacts than on PFUDOR, at something between 2-3 rate or so (i used to get 6-12 everyday, now only 0-4).

Seems like a huge difference to me, have you noticed something similar, or is only my bad luck RNG?

I have been into arenas primarily, so the difference shouldn't come from clearing more rounds in less time.

I'm salvaging around 10~15 mag phase since 0.82 ( I forgot exact number ) (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

Perhaps the difficulty has also become a factor in the equipment drop roll (ie, the roll to decided whether the drop is a piece of equipment), which comes before the artifact roll.
