QUOTE(holy_demon @ Jun 3 2015, 09:50) It's more of a different cure tactics rather than just simply putting Spark on IA. 0.81 tactics was spamming cure, and use Full-cure as emergency. I feel that the more optimal tactics in 0.82 would be spamming full-cure (when HP falls really low, <10%) and using Cure as emergency (just to keep your HP above 1 for spark), relying on Spark and the near limitless supply of spirit to stay alive. It works for me as mage, so I wonder if it would work with melee.
My policy is pretty simple actually: Why use the longest cooldown things 1st? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) (I'm not going into explanation. You're smart enough to figure it out.) QUOTE(Superlatanium @ Jun 3 2015, 12:05) Given how often I was taking significant amounts of damage to spirit shield, I'd feel wary of just letting Spark proc for the hell of it. If I did that I'm sure my daily Spirit Potion usage would be deep in the red.
Aren't you a mage? What element do you play now? And in which difficulty? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) I play Elec mage in PFUDOR and I never have to use Spirit Elixir, only some Spirit Potions sometimes, but not regularly. I just need 4/5 Spirit Draughts per day. QUOTE(holy_demon @ Jun 3 2015, 12:50) My cure priority of me is actually like this: full-cure > health potion > cure > health elixir.
Talk about "Optimality". (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) QUOTE(Pickled Cow @ Jun 3 2015, 13:27) Huh...

QUOTE(holy_demon @ Jun 3 2015, 18:30) you surprisingly don't have too many potions. I thought 1H would have a lot more, since you don't use too many of them
Because I have handed out a lot of remaining potions (including old and new) to newbie friends. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

QUOTE You currently have 0.16 Hath.
Hath Perk Æsahættr Activated! It's been so many years, and I thought I'd never achieve this without absurd donations, grinding, or auction spam. Of course, I think their prices were lowered at one point since I've started, but w/e. Now to save for upcoming new perks. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif)

Why? There's no reason to use Repair Bear at all. It's only for people that are too lazy to visit the Repair tab. If anyone knows the exact Condition degradation rate, I'll prove it's not worth it with math. (monsters/point) In other news, I reduced my PF DwD time by about 5%. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) 24.5 min. And it just occurred to me that I could spam infusions to speed this up further. Not that it matters, since DwD clear is trash now.

Obviously its not worth the price. Neither is AssHatter. If you got that perk, you might as well go for all of them. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) But Repair Bear is really, really not worth it. 30% permanent damage boost is much more worthwhile than not spending a few thousand C per day on repair. Later I'll find the exact degradation rate and calculate some examples. I did some rough calculations when Repair Bear was added, and you need OCD level of grinding for it to pay for itself. Also, it took me a long, long time to gather 30k hath. I would rather save for potentially useful new perks than an exorbitant and superfluous perk like Repair Bear. Divide the costs by 10, and then I'd reconsider.

What else are you gonna use the hath on? And don't you already have OCD level of grinding?

Well Mk.1 should pay for itself after 1 year of playing at a rate that you repair once everyday, but that's assuming that hath price doesn't drop (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

Whatever the new perks are that tenboro claimed he was thinking of adding. And 95% of my play is Arena and RE. So no, I don't grind at all. Only I almost never play this much, so it would be much longer for me. This post has been edited by hitokiri84: Jun 4 2015, 05:58

I found the motivation to do that yesterday and it was immediately apparent how smoother things were going without having to fumble around in the menus; it was just seamless potion usage. It felt like it would have made a significant difference in a serious DwD run.

Or is it not convenient for hand positioning?

For me it's just not convenient for hand positioning. I like to keep my left hand around the home row, from where I can access all of the battle menus using the default hotkeys. And around there I have custom binds for all of my most-used spells and items, so I don't really have to move my hand around much or stretch my fingers reaching for certain keys (and possibly missing). I actually forgot about the default hotkeys for battle items until you reminded me. I just never used them. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) I wish the game offered native key binding that's as flexible as HVKeybinds. I'll be really bummed out if that script is ever rendered inoperable.

No, I forgot. I'll have to figure out what keys are easiest for at least 2 heroic/draught and an infusion. I wish Q, W, E, A, S, and D weren't mapped. I don't even use them at all. I still have U, J, and N unmapped, so probably those. QUOTE(Superlatanium @ Jun 4 2015, 03:17) Hotkeys? I just use the default F1-F12, no script needed. Moving hands = inconvenient and slow, and my F keys are too far. Definitely would be slower than how I do it now, which is to use G to toggle the menu and click.
