With the new potion system and unlimited Spirit Potions, I wonder if it would be faster to for Melee to have spark on IA so it can afford to stay at low HP and doesn't have to heal as much (using Full-Cure at really low HP rather than Cure) I reckon this extra survivability could even make 2H and DW viable. I don't want to bind my 1h Gears, so I can't test this theory for myself, but you guys should try it out.
If that's really the case, Spark could become the first spell in IA slot

It was always in my 1st IA slot, no matter which playstyle I used. And yes, now with the new restorative system, I never died in battle. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) 1st there are Health Pot and Elixir, which are like two extra emergency Cure/Full-Cure. And even after that, there are the Spirit Pot and Elixir to sustain the Spark for a few consecutive turns. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) It's more of a different cure tactics rather than just simply putting Spark on IA. 0.81 tactics was spamming cure, and use Full-cure as emergency. I feel that the more optimal tactics in 0.82 would be spamming full-cure (when HP falls really low, <10%) and using Cure as emergency (just to keep your HP above 1 for spark), relying on Spark and the near limitless supply of spirit to stay alive. It works for me as mage, so I wonder if it would work with melee. This post has been edited by holy_demon: Jun 3 2015, 06:20

Given how often I was taking significant amounts of damage to spirit shield, I'd feel wary of just letting Spark proc for the hell of it. If I did that I'm sure my daily Spirit Potion usage would be deep in the red.

My spirit stays full in Arena pretty much all the time, and I can use this tactics to round 800. I actually don't spark that often, since the heal-over-time is strong enough to let my HP dance around the 10% mark for a while, ideal for full-cure. Spark would act as a safety net, just in case. Of course, it wouldn't be economical to play risky like this if you're constantly using spirit potions. But yeah, I reckon it's easier for this tactic to work with melee than with mage, due the former's survivability. My cure priority of me is actually like this: full-cure > health potion > cure > health elixir. This post has been edited by holy_demon: Jun 3 2015, 09:27
