It'd take aeons to explain, because this story has many parts and started back in the day when I was a little n00b wearing a silk set and waving a shortsword of focus which I bought from Hito's Item World Shop for 5k. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Not really that type of hybrid, although people tried to make Battlecaster builds work too... He's referring to a period of time where it was popular for melees to use silk, which had high Evade Chance and fewer compromise issues. I can't quite remember what the exact rationale was; or rather, what was so disadvantageous about heavy and light at the time.

i guess so. but back then there were also weapons with 'of focus' suffix, which added both magic ACC and crit; also, battlecaster which added MDB, magic ACC, INT and WIS

so, has anyone got leg from grindfest? I got nothing after like 25k+ rounds of hellfest (best is mags). Did any of you IWBTH/PFUFOR grinders get anything leg

Only 1 Legendary and 10~15+ Magnificents after the 0.82 patch during PFUDORfest.
Maybe it was cotton or leather IIRC.

Heavy was HEAVY. I mean really HEAVY, also no Power or Shield armor existed. Leather was total garbage, Kevlar was rare as fuck, Shade wasn't exist yet as well.

Not really, heavy players were still slow-moving mana black holes even more than now.

Well, not on the daily basis, but I play it from time to time, usually RE, and sometimes I can do T&T or several first arenas. But I still collect old stuff.

the only time when hybrid was truly feasible was when the only way for mages to clear RoB was with a BC rapier and shield.

back then it was proc PA and then cast spells, then rinse and repeat.
