I've been using the same keyboard and mouse for probably 12~15 years. It's kind of gross, now that I think about it. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif) My mouse is actually on the edge of breaking (thanks to HV, I'm sure), and the thought of replacing it terrifies me.

new generation keyboard will not last that long , especially when you playing HV without mouseemelee like me (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/anime_cry.gif)

I changed my mouse when optical mice first became available around the year 2000 but I haven't bought a new one since. The buttons do require occasional cleaning though otherwise they don't click properly.

my keyboard suddenly stopped working, spent 2 hours choosing new. 95% of them are total chinese trash and 100% of them are chinese.
my first one worked 11 years with 3 different PC until i doused it with hot sugary tea.
after that i buying new one each year and all of them stop working after several days of warranty's(?) end.

Well there are always outliers since no manufacturing and/or design process is perfect. And probably poor communication between engineers and management. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I'm not going to say any names (ALTEC LANSING) but some things, like speakers, are designed to be unservicable without breaking them. The screws are only for show.
