QUOTE(hitokiri84 @ Apr 1 2015, 00:51) What's weird is I actually saw this on DBZ Kai dub a few weeks ago and they changed it to 8000... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) [ dragonball.wikia.com] http://dragonball.wikia.com/wiki/It's_Over_9000! It should be over 8000 in the Japanese version. No idea how come some early English version make it to 9000. Perhaps the translator do not know Japanese well. It is also common that 100M (1億) in Japanese is translated to 1 billion, even now. It is 9000, but not over 9000. This post has been edited by Colman: Mar 31 2015, 19:31

QUOTE(mechafujoshi @ Mar 31 2015, 12:08) In the original it's Over 8000, and they changed it in some English dubs to fit the mouth movements. [ dragonball.wikia.com] http://dragonball.wikia.com/wiki/Over_9000Wow, I didn't know that, and I've even watched the Japanese version of the original series. That's a ridiculous number of different ways these line were translated though. Even just in English versions, they vary by a lot. Almost all say 9000. And I saw it on Adult Swim, so they must have been airing the DVD version according to this article. This post has been edited by hitokiri84: Mar 31 2015, 19:40

Saw this in the newspaper this morning:
AMSTERDAM - Mr. Thomas Gleason, 35, a senior systems administrator at a local business, was struck by a car in a crosswalk late last night while returning home from a convenience store. He was rushed to hospital, but pronounced dead on arrival. The driver is being held on charges of vehicular homicide and driving while intoxicated.
Little is known about the personal life of Mr. Gleason, who lived alone and was described as reclusive.
The investigation into what would have been a routine, if tragic, traffic fatality took a turn for the bizarre in the early morning hours, when Mr Gleason's body was stolen from the morgue and substituted with the body of a small horse, which appeared to have died from a crushing blow.
Also mysterious was this account from one of the paramedics: "He was drifting in and out of consciousness. He kept saying, 'Never, never...' [...] Then he seemed to find something amusing. He kept repeating, 'Never... Never!' Then he grabbed me by the throat, looked into my eyes, and with a ghastly smile on his face, said, 'Tell those numbskulls Oh point Eighty-two will never be released.'"
When questioned about Oh point Eighty-two, Mr. Gleason's supervisors at work appeared confused, then said it was a minor project of the accounting department, which he may have heard of.
It has recently been reported that the horse's body has disappeared as well. The night shift attendant at the morgue is believed to be responsible for both thefts, but unfortunately has suffered a complete psychiatric breakdown and become extremely difficult to communicate with.
Police would not comment on the investigation in progress, but an anonymous source related, "He keeps saying things like, 'It had a shiny mane, and big googly eyes. OH GOD, THE EYES...' and 'Why wait for Easter? It wasn't Jesus we had in there...' It's very sad for the families - both of them - but with a job like that, it's really not surprising."
The hospital expressed its sincere regrets to the families and pledged to improve its screening process.

He just needed to clean his browser history. And destroy all passwords to his encrypted RAID array. Only then he could rest in peace. (most of us here can relate to that)

QUOTE Thinking Cap Increases EXP gain by 25%. For calculation purposes, this bonus is added to the HentaiVerse training bonus. 250 Hath That's new. Apparently it's much less useful than I had been lead to believe. Upgrading 300% + 25% is 70k per 1% (compared to 50k for Adept Learner), and the subsequent upgrades are much worse. If only that had been displayed before I had gotten perks (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) There should really be a page somewhere displaying the components and sum total experience bonus, like on g.e Overview/Home below the mod power table. There are so many factors, and it's difficult to trust that the system is calculating everything that we think it should be.
