Running a site is a huge operation, especially if one is the sole administrator/programmer - not only for the main forums, but for g.e, HV, etc. Given how important this place is, it doesn't seem like a great idea for the burden to be all on one person, both for the users' sake and for his.

Oh, there was another person in the very beginning. Sounded good on paper, but he ended up being completely unreliable and never could get anything done by an agreed time, yet insisted on being in charge of the money parts, and ended up running off with half a year worth of revenue at the end. Which was pocket change compared to the site's current budget, but it didn't exactly inspire a desire to "share" the administrative bit with anyone else in the future. (Or, at the very least, anyone outside of punching distance.)

Not to mention, the site is so ridiculously complex at this point that if anyone else starts fiddling with anything, it would cause me to lose the full oversight, which would probably make stuff fall apart. I fork off the jobs I can, but anything that involves server or development access is just out.
