QUOTE(malkatmp @ Mar 12 2015, 13:30) i think there's not that many players active right now & factor in "new patch" coming soon, no one is willing to actively spend money.
Not true... I'm desperately trying to finish my forging before the next patch makes all my equipment obsolete. Spend spend spend.

Economic theories assume actors act rationally while in reality, they mostly irrational.

QUOTE(skillchip @ Mar 17 2015, 00:46) we just need to stop being mean to him This situation seems like it might be similar [ github.com] to moot's... See 00:35:06 Running a site is a huge operation, especially if one is the sole administrator/programmer - not only for the main forums, but for g.e, HV, etc. Given how important this place is, it doesn't seem like a great idea for the burden to be all on one person, both for the users' sake and for his.

Well economic theories assume rationale = profit. While in reality, only crazies can think strictly in money. Even those who do rarely play by the rules This post has been edited by holy_demon: Mar 17 2015, 17:12

QUOTE(Scremaz @ Mar 17 2015, 20:22) i agree. not that i really want to be an admin, but he should really think about searching another person... Oh, there was another person in the very beginning. Sounded good on paper, but he ended up being completely unreliable and never could get anything done by an agreed time, yet insisted on being in charge of the money parts, and ended up running off with half a year worth of revenue at the end. Which was pocket change compared to the site's current budget, but it didn't exactly inspire a desire to "share" the administrative bit with anyone else in the future. (Or, at the very least, anyone outside of punching distance.) Not to mention, the site is so ridiculously complex at this point that if anyone else starts fiddling with anything, it would cause me to lose the full oversight, which would probably make stuff fall apart. I fork off the jobs I can, but anything that involves server or development access is just out.

uhu. i thought myself that someone should have had done something to not login in many years, but didn't know this. well, it seems you already tried and surely have your reasons. also, you have some co-workers like mods, irc operators, tag mods... are those already at their full potential?

Its hard to find people that you can trust. QUOTE(Tenboro @ Mar 17 2015, 11:19) (Or, at the very least, anyone outside of punching distance.)
Thats true as well. On a unrelated note, I've probably donated enough money alone for a hitman to be affordable lol.
