Just went over the halfway mark in spending the funds I received from Conquest. It sure doesn't last long with these super expensive trainings (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

It's strange Rohan hasn't spoken out about it though. If I got swindled I'd make damn sure everybody knew about it.

Piece of info missing from here: I confirmed with Rohan that his max bid is 135k (when I messaged mang that my max bid is 100k in order to prevent scams).

I've seen rohan and mangalda bidding on each other's items before where their bids make absolutely no sense. That's why I kept track of the equipment link in notepad even before conquest posted this. Rohan isn't scamming himself here if he never paid mangalda the money. I suspect that had they pulled off this scam successfully, they would have divvied up the profits.

In your case you took a risk though, if you had actually won with your 1.8 mil bid, would you have paid it? I'm pretty sure you would honor it, but anything above 1 million for that piece is over paying it, in my opinion at least.

Which is precisely why I bid up so fast. So predictable. He's always been like that, from day 1. Pretty sure I drained him since he bid an oddly precise number that was under the minimum bid (but then changed it) and then took a while before actually getting the equip (I suspect he was gathering more credits.)

I wasn't going to go over 500k, since they weren't that great, and I already have no problems with BT. It would have been nice to move back up a difficulty or two on IW, but I don't play enough to justify that price. Instead I took joy in making him pay 3-4 times what they were worth.

Sure, why not? I spent way more than that training LotD after it was over.
