I think I remember Tenboro saying (quite a while ago) that he would implement IP checks to make sure user accounts can't be overtaken by evil, evil players looking to steal HV equipment.
I don't particularly care about the HV part, but does anybody know if said checks are also applied to the main account? (forums/galleries)
I'm going to move in a few months because of my job and I'd rather not be locked out of my account just because I suddenly login from a different country

There aren't any IP checks. I login from home, work and 2 different proxies when ping is bad.

I move around different places/countries several times a year because of work, didn't have any problems at all.

My guess is the people who knew and wants it bought ticket and doesn't want people knowing so less tickets get sold, therefore more chance of winning themselves. And the people who knew and wants it intersect a lot.
