Just to clarify, it's equal or more than 1/2 your base spirit bar.

Did tenb ever resolve the karma issue? More karma increases spirit points, but does not increase spirit regen. That means I shouldn't want more karma b/c my spirit bar will take relatively longer to fill up again.

578 turns in, I ran out of Spirit Potions.

Only took out half of his HP off.

I died shortly thereafter.

I started battling him about 20 minutes before that post up there.

I took off almost all his hp my first time (cmal's script said 0 hp left) but then I died. That was just by abusing more than 20 scroll of gods.
Second time, I used 3 scrolls, and brought last elixirs with me--they save a slot. Problem is timing when to use them, which is when your hp/spirit/mana bars are almost empty. That was successful.
Make sure you always have absorb on. That saves 3/4 of your sp.

Actually, as long as you have bewilder on, scroll of absorbtion can act as scroll of life + free mp. Those trigger 100% of the time. Unless I'm mistaken and spirit attacks are not absorbed.

Everyone spazzing out over Lab monsters and Crystals is starting to get on my nerves.

This, this, a thousand times this. Assuming I can find out how many players my monster has killed and other statistics, I think I will find more joy in making monsters then actually killing them.

I really doubt it has to be lvl "higher" then you, most likely it will be +-10 to 20 lvl around your own lvl.
