Maybe you meant using deprecated 40% convs focus staff or deprecatd old-new battlecaster 1hs. Which would come to 0.463716373878.

I guess the MC values are low because they were balanced this way, having them adding linearly would throw that balance off.

Oh yes. 5 leg frugal cotton+aether+40% convs staff+21% convs shortsword= 0.366335935364 mana cost.You could pay less mana for t3 than dude with just 5 leg frugal cotton+aether+econ 5 pays for t3. Which is why I think it won't happen of course (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) But I would have expected you to wear hallowed battlecaster shortswords that gave MDB, not ones that gave convs. Although what I'd really love would be rapier instead of shortsword, with PA reducing both magical and physical...then again, casting imperil would probably be more effective.
