That was weird. The entire EH website incl. HV & the forum experienced a short outage 1 hour after the Dawn of the Day. Everything seem OK now.

Ichy: Mages from next patch on will be playing on highest difficulty they can, like melees. Sure it feels great when you oneshot a wave, but alt-1+1 is not much of a game :/. Move with the times, mage is, while not entirely fine, not unable to compete with melees either. At this point, I'm willing to say that you'd say that maging is dead on any patch where you can't leisurely oneshot waves (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) |

If I remember correctly we got new Phase to make up for the loss of rating damage (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Also my point still stands. one more nerf and my melee hit do the same damage than my high MP spell. Sounds very fair and reasonable given melee attack is free while having vastly better defense (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) heck in pure DPS my melee already beats my mage set in arenas with few mobs. Sure my most important piece of Equipment is Connection but still... |

The most annoying part of that whole EDB bug story was that Tenboro blamed all the mages for "not noticing that your spells were doing more damage than intended, even if I never told anyone how the damage formula is supposed to work". Sigh, good old days. |

But I'd like to ask. If Normalfest is going to be nerfed, what can mages do?
Unless there's some way they can tank better, mages would literally die off except the ones that can actually do higher difficulties right now :S
