QUOTE(Hoheneim @ Feb 3 2013, 04:32) Bare hands. I'm pretty sure a raspberry would have hurt it more. A whole night, actually. When I noticed what was going on yesterday I just closed the tab. Today I braced myself and finished the job.
And I'm never going to face it on IWBTH ever again. Not with a scythe, nor an estoc, nor a mace or whatever. Because at best I'd just halve the turns needed to bring it down and that'd still take far too much time, no matter how you look at it.
Or you could just get a crappy Heimdall set, throw down some buffs, cast Banish and hold down R? T_Starrk and I both do IWBTH FSM in about 300 turns, him with DW Spirited Frenzy spam and me with Frost. Holy would be even faster. You can take a lot more time off than 900 turns.

QUOTE(sigo8 @ Feb 3 2013, 09:45) Also I think Lement meant 1 handed not 1 hour.
It may very well be... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif) @ PK678353: Anyways, I'm not too keen on going mage just for IWBTH FSM hunting. I've always stuck to melee for the hell of it... Maybe one day I'll go battlecaster(*), but the HV mage just doesn't click with me. (*) maybe around level 350+ it'll be playable...

Go mage. I clear it in 70 turns (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

with my unupgraded sup and lower heimdal set, iwbth fsm is about 160-165 turns. you can get the set cheaply at auction (only exq+ is expensive now) and that enabled you to beat daily iwbth fsm under 5 mins, kinda worth isn't it? I was laughing when this guy put 1 zero too much on starting price, but then someone is generous enough to bid (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) This post has been edited by aiwotorimodose: Feb 3 2013, 13:40

In arenas or RoB I actually saw the max damage of my attacks inching upwards, it was quite nice.

I think magic is cubic scaling. Magical Attack base damage x Magic proficiency x Elemental Damage Bonuses

Melee don't have to fight the way defenses and mitigation grows, instead they personally benefit from it when it comes to surivablity, and most ingore it through the use of PA.
A lot of that growth that mages see is lost due to having to go against specific resistances and mitigations, though they still do scale faster then melee, they can't take a hit from a wet paper bag.

Still remember this as it's how I kill FSM the first time.
