Not having to wade through x threads/pages to find someone wanting to buy something seems like a good enough reason to me.

But then again we never got the divide between shops and auctions in WTS either so eh.

There's like...10-15 auctions per week. And those can be easily filtered when searching 'auction'. So...
And that's why I'm suggesting people to use more/better tags for their WTS/WTB titles. A clearly-marked tag system can ease the whole searching process. Unfortunately people don't like extra work. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

I wasn't against it (not that it matters), I was just pointing out a potential flaw

People do need to search for price reference. And that's why shop owners should encourage their customers to use the item code instead of the full name of the item.
I can go through WTS and try to remove most of the non-coded posts (by adding[s][/s]) (if people agree), but that will be quite a hassle and won't work if people just keep using full name.

Do you just want one topic for all requests?
I'd prefer something like 3 stickies then, one for hath, one for ed and one for artifacts. Would make it easier for the sellers to just look through the replies of the specific topic.
I agree with deleting the replies if the wanted quantity is reached or the price too low, but not after 30 days, if the buyer still wants to buy, why not?

As for deleting after 30 days...well, it's to prevent the case when people AFK without closing the request. Currently those threads won't show up as per default forum setting, but if it's centralized in one thread there needs to be a way to clear those requests.

its a pain in the ass to make new threads if you are looking for a lot of things

its a stupid idea to remove someones thread just because they don't bump it 5 times a day to keep it active or they don't make a comment every time a price changes is done on something.

stop letting power to do your head, there is no reason why you should go around deleting stuff unless you are asked to.
