I figured out how to beat End of Days in about 40 minutes without using that "trick" or items, Boggy. It should make Blue Skies a cakewalk, assuming there's no God enemy at the end. I doubt there will be, but even if there is, they're still beatable with the trick regardless of what equipment you have.

Melee? Hell no. No way I'm torturing myself with that again.

Its extremely difficult to do the Legendary slog as a melee. I didn't figure out the trick until I was near the end of EoD, so it is possible, it just takes way longer than you can stand and you burn a lot of items.

I have no idea what this trick is, but I do have one question. Would it make any difference in clear speed as a mage? I can't imagine anything that would, so if not, I guess it doesn't matter.

So Lifestream don't suck HP like crazy, sue me after all I don't have it, don't I?
It's a trade for regen, and it's possible that can actually last more than regen itself. (Don't know what is the base duration) Then by draining HP, you cast less bufs/debufs wasting less MP and time btw.
