Dude, I can understand how you feel, but that's much easier to maintain for the shop owners.

How exactly would that work? Would someone have to pay $100 for him to get a gold star? Or are there people who can just give them out? Who the fuck would pay that much real money for a pair of shoes in a videogame? At least when you donate to the site you get to download hentai cheaper.

I saw that sig, too and found it strage at first thought. However, look at it that way: if you're catgirl already, the only thing you get from donating is hath/credits, right? So it'd be like either donating for credits to buy equip or donating to get said equip directly. (that is, if the equipment piece is good enough, though)
It's not like you pay some random guy the money, but rather help the site (+ some user) out and get something in return.

Agreed. Very enjoyable novel re same exact concept in author Neal Stephenson's "Reamde".

Auction house notwithstanding, wait till you see how much some people spend each day buying booster-pack random-drop item chests on said Chinese MMOs.
