There is a non-zero chance that danixxx set that price primarily to troll Setebos (and then said no crystals to make sure Frith didn't just dump 3 million Quintessence on his doorstep). The fact that it's still up means the market agrees with you about it's worth.

I figure it'll sell eventually (maybe not for that much), and then Tenboro will nerf Slaughter to rub it in.

As far as I can tell, Auto-bots get trolled with pony maze and stamina, while auction bots get trolled with risen price (a bid that ask for 10k, but actually shows 100k as buy-out, guess which one the bots took?)

If there is anyone who is destroying the HV economic environment, I dont know which is worse:
1. those who buy/bid equipments from WTS at low price (especially when they dont even need to equip those items) and resale them at higher price. Too often I have seen Ethereal Estoc of Slaughter being bought at 500k and later showing up in other stores marked as 2m.
2. or those who bought Ethereal Estoc of Slaughter few months ago and have since stopped playing the game without selling that said item.

I'm not bidding any more. The Item Shop Bot is stupid because sellers don't know what price they'll get, buyers don't know what price they'll pay and troll biding is encouraged.

A seller might see a high bid of 120K and expect to get 60K profit share, but if the next highest bid is 80K he'll actually only get 40K profit share, so it's a lottery. The same goes for buying; you don't know the price you'll pay because you don't know what the second highest bid is.

It would be far better if it was done as a market where people could place buy and sell orders and all orders would be displayed in something like a level 2:

That way, you would know the exact price you'd buy or sell at and troll bidding would be eliminated. Prices would be more stable and would reach a natural equilibrium and people who can't speak English (so can't trade on the forum) could also use it. It would also be much more convenient than having to look through the forum to buy things.

The only thing that would ruin it would be that Tenboro would take 50% commission, so everyone would end up using the forum anyway.

yep. it is pure naivety to assume cheaters can be stopped. that's the reality of the internet. there'll always be someone in the world that can take advantage.

The thing with the armor is, Is it worth it to someone to pay 30M or would they be better off buying something for 2M-5M then spending the rest on materials to upgrade it. I think it would be best get a godly weapon and upgrade it before looking to get armor in that price range.

Bindings of Slaughter are too rare, even with an army of monsters I almost never get them anymore. I also burned too many of them on stupid shit when i had a ton of them. Now I need 20 + a ton more for other stuff.

He trained them fair and square without cheating as far as I know
