Yesterday I borrowed a computer with a much better internet connection. Latency is a big problem if you are a melee.
I used my mediocre power set (see signature) and my best non-ethereal estoc and sharded everything.
I played for the full 4 hours duration of the shards effects with a few short breaks to keep my sanity.
In that time I managed to do the arenas up to Longest Journey on IWBTH and up to To Kill A God on BT. Failed two arenas due to not paying attention. Spammed self-buffs because I could and I had no mana problems. Also did FSM on IWBTH. Burnt only 25 Stamina.
I got about 160k directly from the arenas and selling the crap equipment I got. In addition I found a Artifact.
Have read post where people brag about finishing all arenas and getting hundreds of thousands of credit.
This is a more realistic example at what you can achieve as a melee at my level (285) without metallic auras, with one IA and decent equipment.
So a question for those that do all their arenas daily at my level (if they truely exist).
What is the best strategy?
Start with the longest or the shortest?
Go for highest difficulty or lower it to have time for as many arenas as possible?

IMO, start with the 10 round arena on IWBTH and work your way up till you have great stamina, then do the shorter arenas on normal stamina and eventually lower the difficulty to do the last arenas, from T&T onwards (you just want to collect trophies here, so do it fast). Do all the hourlies you can, always on IWBTH.

Spread out your runs through the day as you see fit to remain sane. And if at all possible, try and have fun. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

I'm sure what I do is not the best, but as far as sanity is concerned, it works pretty fine for me:
-I just shard one piece of equipment (my highest interference one)
-I do the first 50 rounds of the schoolgirl arenas and FSM on IWBTH and great stamina for exp
-then I switch to nintendo, no need to pay any attention on that difficulty and I can pretty much just faceroll through, starting with the 5monster/round arenas (90, 70, 65, 60) and then I usually work my way down from T&T and doing the first ones if I have some mana left for a few rounds but would need to restore for the higher arenas.

All in all, takes me slightly more than an hour to finish. (50min for 1-200 and then 10-20min for FSM, and hourly and the schoolgirl ones)

Speed and time are still big factors. I would recommend starting with the longer ones that way you always have Great stamina to do them. If by chance you fall to Normal stamina you're at least doing short arenas on it. Then the difference between IWBTH and BT credits isn't much but the drop quality is much better. I suppose you can sub in BT rounds for IWBTH until you can do them quickly or find a good rhythm. As long as credits are your primary concern you should focus on clearing the Arenas with lots of mobs first (Trio, To Kill a God, New Wings)

That's what I've found works well. I hope it helps.

You might have to upgrade to a Ponytron 9000 to contain the flashiness. Just add a EULA to your sig that says by reading the sig you disclaim all responsibility for pony-induced seizures.
