QUOTE(varst @ Oct 16 2012, 08:53) Hm...will that be better if you can reset potency per level, but every time you reset that the cost (shards) will grow exponentially?
Now THIS would be eeevil.

QUOTE(4EverLost @ Oct 16 2012, 00:23) can mages do 1000 rounds of BT without using any potions? Just how long would that take using ET. melee can do that.
As you said yourself, mages can certainly do that. ETing may be a slow approach but can go on indefinitely, melee is slow but it will definitely run out of resources at some point. If your point is "but ET is boring" I'm afraid I have to reply "who cares? melee is boring too". And with melee you don't really have any other option.

It doesn't sound like you've tried doing BT crysfest as a mage

No you can't go that far with mage you'll get instantly raped and ET is not an option in deeper rounds.

Mage was able to go deep inside when they where able to oneshot everything while never run out of mana. Now even one resist of Eila can be enough to trigger a spark. No chance to ET or leech SP deeper inside.

Meh... Focus make you feel like mage, therefore it sucks! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Try this : Full sharded melee + decent Iillithid weapon + BC offhand/buckler (optional) Result = lulzThis post has been edited by buktore: Oct 16 2012, 12:28

True. And I couldn't even if I wanted to. On the other hand, though, the average user couldn't melee 1000 rounds even if he wanted to.

But meleeing is still less mana-consuming and more durable. It's much slower though.

Since we're on the topic, can someone explain what mages do? I keep hearing people say "cast spell w/ staph" and "use magic missile fgt" but it all seems very mysterious to me.

I wish I can go on indefinitely with ET. Maybe if ET gives you SP as well (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
