I'm feeling hesitant about buying new equipment, since the next update is gonna screw up all the ones I painstakingly collected. I don't even know if I wanna keep leveling my gear in IW. Depending on how soul-crushing the next update will be for equipment, I might take a vacation or just pack up and quit.

QUOTE(Frith @ Jan 14 2011, 22:15) The problem is you get used to auto restock, and its quite rare that you have to manually restock, so it's easy to forget. I think auto restock should be on by default instead of having to press the auto button.
and then you'd be complaining "OH NO, i used a Mana Elixir instead of my regular items i use in easy battles!!! Because of the stupid auto-restock!!! HV needs serious Changes!!!"... Anyway, if you can't press on Auto-All after changing items, the problem resides elsewhere...

Are you talking about your heavy gear or something else? If it's heavy then I can only imagine they would be getting a boost rather than nerfs. Even if they are getting nerfed, which I highly doubt, TB said it won't be retroactive so your current gear wouldn't be affected. If you are really concerned that the future patch would mess things up, you can use your trophies now so whatever changes are in the future patch, whether it's nerfs or boosts, you can avoid that by cashing your trophies before the patch comes.

QUOTE(Eutopia @ Jan 15 2011, 01:18) Must be hard to press the auto all button (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) The problem is you shouldn't have to press it. If you don't press the auto button then following a battle your item slots will remain empty. I don't think anyone wants to leave their item slots empty so auto restock may as well be on by default. The button is an unnecessary step that introduces the possibility of error. I'd rather find I had a Mana Elixir than an empty item slot, hence why auto should be on my default. The button is pointless. This post has been edited by Frith: Jan 15 2011, 03:37

I'm talking about equipment in general. Nerfs won't affect my stuff, but boosts can be annoying. And if the new functionality is genuinely useful and not some crappy parlor trick, it'll be frustrating figuring out if something should get replaced and even more frustrating finding replacements. I really wish there could be a way we could apply update features to old equipment by choice (instead of having them grandfathered in system-wide) without having to risk turning it into garbage. And I don't farm and hoard trophies like everyone else. I hardly even do arenas. Whatever trophies I get usually get turned in unless I'm feeling lazy.

We can only hope that the new functionality would be useful, I guess only time would tell. I'm also of the same sentiment as you regarding applying update features to old equipment. In particular, the pre-nerf equipment from before 0.40 needs to be revamped. When I first joined and heard that such equipment existed, it felt like some kind of exclusive club where you get in if you're lucky and their stats are so ridiculous compared to current gear that I couldn't reason why TB decided to not change them. We'll just have to see how it goes when the update comes, hopefully it won't be something detrimental.

i'm also a little worried because i recently started magestyle buying equip 300k worth and still buying
so if patch will destroy magestyle i will serously be on the verge of ragequit
i just hope that ther will be a buff on melee so this game can be less time (life) consuming

QUOTE(Tenboro @ Nov 5 2010, 18:44) It's not really feasible to reroll old equipment, and even if it were, people wouldn't always want it.
(And no, this is not an opening for anyone to argue with me on whether it should be done or not.)

It took months and months to get anything after I hit 250, so I think you could probably guess from that. And if you can't, there's nothing except the final arena.

Is there an arena after the 300 one? I'm assuming you already cleared the level 300 one.

It this was an (free) MMO the new better gear would be cash shop items (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) QUOTE(sushi0 @ Jan 15 2011, 14:37) Is there an arena after the 300 one? I'm assuming you already cleared the level 300 one.

what are the spells at level 300? QUOTE(Tenboro @ Jan 15 2011, 14:35) Don't tell me you ever played an MMO that didn't introduce new and better items from time to time. Correct.
ehm don't take this as offence but in the case of pre nerf equipment you introduced worse items... it's right to reward the betatesters and long time players, but they had way too advantages (pre nerf item, more credits drop and less training prices) if the new equip in the new patch will be awesome, ok, but we want to know if with old equip we will have the same ability of clearing everything we could do in 0.4.8 sorry if we are so persistent but we want to be assured that what we are buying now for thousands and thousands of credits will still be worth
