Do people not read opening posts or something? I shouldn't be shocked that people are still editing their posts in auctions, but it still bugs me nonetheless. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Smart or Chinese Gold Farmer-level grinders?

In some aspects, I think it's both for this current patch. But you need to be the former in order to notice the latter is the best method at the moment. (or just be "lucky" and be the latter to begin with)

I'm agree with...ex-DC. Due to mag/leg rush, the prices of equipment I'd consider godlike eight or ten patches ago are low as fuck now. So any low-level who has a brain and simple logic can fully pack himself up for a penny.

Some of them can read but are too lazy to. Some of them have English as a second language (or it's not even a language for them) so there's the language barrier involved. They probably just know it's an auction but don't try translating all of it. Remember this is a multicultural forum (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

HaliZorat, if you're really concerned about the edit, maybe you should disqualify the editing user from your auction?

It's funny how people use MoogleMail without COD, but can't show the same bloody etiquette during auctions.

might be because they're sending out so many items and MMs it's hard to keep track of when they're receiving payment (if it's just a non-auction MM they can keep track of payment pretty easily)

CoD simplifies things for them and for the penny pinchers that're maxed, it's more convenient+secure

What I meant is . . . people are honest enough to do transactions without COD, so I don't get why they can't show the same kind of virtue/courtesy during auctions. It shouldn't matter whether you can't read, or the rules aren't there.

But I guess someone will tell me those are two different things . . . so never mind that. :\

no no, what i'm saying is the volume is different. some of the auctions deal with *hundreds* of transactions in a very short period of time (whatever time it took to send them all out). very difficult to keep track of what item went where. in the end, it's ok to be trusting but you should also make sure they didn't make a mistake and forget to attach credits. mistakes can happen but CoD prevents them

I just don't send anything until I get payment, so I never use CoD.

Anyways, I'm not too worried about the editing. I don't like it, but it's nothing to go crazy over.

No, I'm talking about bidders who edit their post, revoke their bid, and et cetera. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Again, forget it. I guess it's a different thing because the etiquette is really on the seller's side in the first case . . . while bidding etiquettes are on the buyer's side.

ah, the CoD thing kept making me think of CoD. it's the culture clash probably. and the lack of punishment ^^

"etiquette" is very... subjective (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
