Having to press space everytime shouldn't be that tedious.

Locked equip should be a simple enough solution. I have several instances which I wrongly clicked equips for salvaging, and that's the lock that saved my day.

Decent luck with potencies so far.
If i get Butcher and Endurance Level 4 or 5 each and just keep the level one Endurance I'm not sure it would be worth it to reset and do over from scratch.
Luckily there are plenty more opportunities to screw it up in the mean time (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

To further expand on that question: is Regen II enough to heal up the hits from it? I assume not, else you wouldn't be needing spirit shield; or is that just for the crits?
And to me the most important question in that, how do you keep up mana, is IA needed to reduce the upkeep or will the natural regen eventually be enough? Focus? Pots will help for sure, but if you need pots at all, I somehow doubt they'd last for 10k rounds. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

For me Regen II is more than enough, it heals over 1000 hp and I don't remember Spirit Shield ever actually triggering during an FSM battle. It's just a precautionary measure in case Silence wears off without me noticing it in time. Then again, I do have 48% base evade and with Shadow Veil on, combined with 31% parry, I don't get hit that often. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

As for mana consumption, I only need to use 1-2 godly mana potions during the fight. If it takes you 10k turns to beat FSM then mana potions aren't your primary concern, your strategy is. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Having a confirm dialog wouldn't do jack shit, since after hundreds or thousands of salvages, people would just habitually click confirm without actually reading what it wants them to confirm. Lock it or lose it.

Bad strategy is bad.
Just silence FSM. For your buffs, you only need haste and protection. Weaken FSM if he hits too hard.
And use Great Cleave. It's gonna be around 200k damage every 10 turns, much more than you can dish out with spirit stance.

But as you see I didn't get the round count down that much with you strategy.
From 646 to 544.
I had to use weaken and regen 1 constantly and I cast Heartseeker when I got channeling and I also used spirit shield for added safety.
6 godly mana potions was spent not that I care really.
Will try with Dual Wield next time to see if it is faster.
