Yeah but this was on hard, so I wasn't paying attention. And it was perfectly fine against Sakura, Lisi, and Elizabeth, just Himari kept parrying (and Eila is fast enough and durable enough to actually hit me a few times before dying if I got unlucky and failed to dodge or parry her).

Supply > Demand. As for what's causing that... probably an increase in players participating longer. Difficulty spikes tend to drive players away from playing and raise their desire for hath perks to overcome their hardships.

Don't buy them. It's about the only thing that you or anyone else can do.
