Well that was an awful trophy dump. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Boss Trophies got me 1 Elemental and Ethereal, but that's it.
Schoolgirl Trophies gave me 0 Exquisites, a ton of Crudes, and less than 10 non-Leathers (most of them were Fair/Crude too).
Saplings gave me crappy Exquisites.
Didn't bother with Noodles.

At least I got some credits for selling them. But sheesh, even half-decent equipment seems difficult to get.

I wonder if 6 godly manna pots can get me through dark skies on IWBTH. A new begining took 3 superiors.
EDIT: I used 1 of them early enough I knew I wouldn't make it.

Speaking as a native speaker, I have no idea, so I'll look on the Web.

It looks like oak trees were sacred to various cultures going back at least to the ancient Greeks, and were chosen as the sacred tree of Zeus and other gods probably due to the extreme toughness of the wood. A lot of modern Western traditions are absorbed from various non-Christian "pagan" religions.

The willow <-> dark association I hadn't heard before, but it looks like it also has an association with witchcraft and death and associated gods in the Western world, as well as fertility rituals, which are equivalent to "evil" in traditional Christian thinking, whereas in China willow branches were used to ward off ghosts.
