I haven't been here long, relatively, so the history of similar events is not known to me, of course I also haven't known miwabe for that long as well, so he really could have used cheating devices, I'm not ruling out that possibility, which is assuming the anti-cheating mechanism did not catch a fluke. It's a shame if he really did cheat, but he doesn't need to cheat to get to where he is currently at.

Based on my calculations, he got an average of 200 mil exp a day when he was level 270 ish and that is very possible from just 10 IW's and daily arenas, assuming he does it all in BT. I can't imagine how advanced a cheating device has to be in order for it to automate Battletoads runs in IW and arenas. Since you can't one hit on battletoads, it seems that human intervention is required but I guess an advanced script could do similar things.

Holding alt + num has the same exact effect as clicking a quickcast and holding R, only I don't have to strain my thumb by holding it in an awkward position.

Maybe it's just being left handed, but I see nothing awkward about that position. Also, how long would you hold R for?

One hitting on battletoads once in a blue moon won't do any good considering the mobs that survive will tear you a new one, but yeah, not saying that it's impossible. I've only taken one programming course so far, so if a script contains even a bit of complexity, it's considered advance to me. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
Well, I'm sure you get more exp now, but that was a rough calculation I made and it was based off how much I estimated you to get daily back when you were in your 270's. Currently, I only manage 35 million daily at max and people say I'm leveling fast, so meh.

On a related note, have you checked on the two people that I've sent you a PM about around a month ago? Their leveling rate was very suspicious at the time and they've toned down a lot lately so I was just wondering how your investigation was going.

I did join on October 20, but only actually started playing HV in early November. I initially joined for the double viewing limit of the galleries, but I chanced upon HV and the innate gamer within me couldn't resist and naturally I became hooked to HV.

It was a while ago, and I reported those people back when I was around level 100 ish, which was a bit under a month ago. Back then, I didn't have a clear grasp of how the EXP formula worked exactly and those people seemed to me to be leveling extremely fast. Let's just say this, one of the people I reported is a lurker, has over a 1000 posts in spamhaus and got to a level higher than I'm currently at in around 2 months or so, give or take. Now, when I made the report, I was only level 100 and seeing someone at such a high level in such a short period of time would naturally cause suspicion so I PMed TB about it and he said he was busy and would look at it later or something, but that was a month ago.

That's exactly the reason why I don't do arenas above my comfort zone. It usually takes me around 30 minutes to do all my arenas, a bit more if I'm spending time to sleep the final mob and use every bit of MP I have to spam spells for proficiencies.
Also, what two arenas are you talking about? Two hours for two arenas on nightmare seem a bit much. Anyways, I'm raging now since I wasn't able to do four arenas due to me posting in this thread. I guess I should allocate myself with more than 30 minutes to do my daily arenas.

The big reason why you level up fast ( like most people now) is because of this last release, I mean it's because of the nerf in the mob's defense. Before with a focus staff( loosing mdm), I couldn't 1-shot on normal if I didn't select blue slime, after the last release pff.

Eve of Death and The Trio. I used up 4 or 5 elixirs and 2 godly mana pots to beat Trio. Probably sparked like 6 times.

Frankly, there really is no good reason for staying around leveling up forever. I'm taking my time now because after I reach level 100, there are no new monsters to beat.

To be perfectly honest, my logical side demands that I do more interesting activities than doing endless monster runs. Its one of the reasons I no longer play any games with lots of dungeons. I need interesting things. Grinding away at monsters is boring and I'm not sure I wouldn't try to cheat if I had the knowledge, wasn't too lazy, and had some pressing reason for leveling up. So, I'm likely one of those people who'll suddenly stop leveling once I get into the early 100's

Most of my interest is actually in bargaining for equipment, participating in auctions and all the other more mercantile and social aspects of the game. That's really the main draw for me even now at the low level I am at. I need more credits for downloads and to be a better participant in auctions and to get better equipment to sell.

It improves my understanding of the human condition ^ ^

Tenseiga, I can definitely say that being in the top seven for the daily toplists on the galleries increases the experience you get.

I'm currently on the daily toplist for tagging (2), EHTracker (5), Rating and Reviewing (5), and H@H (7), and the amount of experience I'm getting is much higher than normal.

Normally, I only get 2,100 XP on the last round of Killzone. Today, when I completed the last round of Killzone, I got 3,350 XP (an increase of about 50%)....I'll let you know if this pattern holds up for Item World experience as well (when I do my Exquisite runs tomorrow).

Hopefully, that is the reason for my higher XP today.

The reason for this is because you didn't place in the top 7 for the daily toplists on the galleries.

My dawn experience was about 50 XP higher than normal.

Ok, I've experimented in a Magnificent IW....before today, my average XP per 9 monster round was just over 1,000 XP....today, my average XP per 9 monster round ~1350 XP,,,about a 35% increase. I'll check Exquisite tomorrow.

You said you did it with R, not alt + 1. And while I do understand any skepticism anyone might have, this has absolutely nothing to do with leveling up quickly. It could be considered taking advantage of the system to raise proficiencies, but plenty of us took advantage of the legendary arena's to make credits before the trophy revamps.

Obviously, none of this can be resolved until Tenboro comes back online, but if anybody doesn't believe me, do what I described (holding alt and 1 in Chrome and looking away) and see what happens.

It's not so much about holding buttons as it is about exploiting a particular bug in the current HV release.

I had a feeling that was the difference. I'm not exploiting a bug by holding R because I'm actually using mana.
