I don't know about others, but I only bought things to use, or at least to trade for other things.

But making it so you get everything at the second highest bid + 1 credit? That will just invite more trouble. Just make it what you bid is what you pay.

Thing is even if it did reduce the % from perks you would still have to pay the overpriced amount others are paying. Say for example 70c - 20% (Golden Handshake) = 56c.
Before this patch you could just buy stat crystals at 50c - whatever discount you get.

The second highest bid rule resulted in dumbfucks doing stupid shit like this, trying to scare the other bidders away.

- If the item was sold by a player, bids by the same player are excluded from the calculations.

which makes trolling them harder.
