I play with a mace. I cover more rounds with a mace than with an estoc. It's true that it is a bit slower, but it's the safest way to play.

By having their level under 300. It only gets worse as you go up, and it's pretty much unplayable past 350.

Hmm, I was thinking about going back to 2H melee but I need to get some credits first to get AP for my SP tanks. It was either back to the trusty mace or trying out the estoc. Of course, I need to get an ethereal version since the custom monsters are more powerful now.

I've decided to stop wasting my life playing this aimless, unrewarding, endless grind fest, so I'm just going to dump all my equipment in the bazaar right now and bid HentaiVerse farewell. I'm sure I'll earn around two thousand credits for selling 524 equipment pieces to the bazaar. Oh well, fuck it.

rpgman1, it's your lucky day. I'll just give you this Superior Ethereal Estoc of Slaughter for free since you said you wanted to start playing melee. You'll have to spend all your free time every fucking day keeping it on par with your level by grinding in the ridiculous time sink called item world, but that's just how it is. Enjoy the estoc.

Sorry to see you go then, but there are players who just returned or left HV to go on with their lives. skillchip wouldn't play HV after the update due to the sporadic changes to the system. Thanks for the ethereal estoc though.

That is saying I'm not playing HV until there are viable updates to make me interested in playing it again. If I did had a part-time job making money, I wouldn't be playing HV nearly as much as now.

Do any other weapons have damage comparable to an axe?
EDIT: The best axe i've seen in terms of damage scales to just over 260 for me

Actually, I'm not playing right now cause of work, girlfriend, and of all things lack of desk space which prevents me from having my keypad which makes the game so much smoother. That and no time anymore. Even if it was the best time to play and legendarys were dropping for everyone I wouldn't change how much I play right now.
