Thanks.

Is 33ms any good?

That's very good. LAN networks are usually between 5-18ms.

Having problem saying something the listener won't going to like? ... Need to convince someone of your view but don't want to give away any info that might be use to make an argument against you in the process?

Worry no more! ... Introducing TenbSpeak™ : When lying is not an option! (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Here's some recent example of our product in action; you won't believe how well it work! ...

wow 488ms ping
(IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif)
Sure H@H is running (quite active lately, cache is almost at 70% now (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)),
but still, Comcast sucks.

Edit: And some four hours later it's down to ~189, must have/still be running into some peak hour issues...

Those statements seem quite specific to me.

Those 2 statement are different; it's a work of art, especially the first one, and deserved its own category. (I even gave it a name!) (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

The 'being vague' is more for the usual thing in general, hence I put it in PS. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

How is the first one vague? It doesn't get any more specific than that.
This is vague:
QUOTE(Tenboro @ Jun 10 2012, 08:45) *

Oh, it's the Ping War! Great! (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

And whose fault is that?

...

Ah, right, it's mine... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif)

On the bright side of things we now know that all the items disappearing from the bazaar have obviously been snatched by el h, who lives right next to his ISP and hosts the HV server in his basement.

On an even brighter side of things, Ren Methersomething dropped something nice for a change. Only 19 more to go. I can already see the goal, somehwere near Barnard 33...

So it's official!

And here I thought Asians are the perverted ones.

Sometime I wonder if the ping time alone is the main responsible for speed. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

I still remember very clearly how fast HV was right after 0.6.2 went online. The speed increase was just incredible even though I didn't change or do anything at my end. The game felt so much more fun to play even though I actually got nerfed by this patch! (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

But for whatever reason, this incredible speed, sadly, didn't last... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

100ms is about the best you can hope for when the data has to be sent 1/3 the circumference of the planet.
