I only use mage gear for prof grinding and RE.

It used to be a lot faster than my melee set, but now that my melee profs have finally started catching up to my level and I'm using an exquisite shade set, its not actually much faster anymore, especially since my phase set is all below my level now.

I have been a mage for a long time, so it's something that looks perfectly normal. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
We aren't that defensive in the first place, that's why we use tons of supportive spells to protect ourselves.
But you don't expect any supportive spells to be there at round 1...(excluding those in IA)

I haven't failed an RE with this strat:

IA: Haste and SoL.
First turn: Spirit Shield, Shadow Veil, Arcane Focus if Channeling, X-Nerf

That's when monster get the first hit. 1 SoL proc, if unlucky. Then it's just Ragnarok/Banish/Cure spamming.

At most I need 2 SoL procs before things belly up.

Just now (at the beginning of writing this), I was refreshing (i.e. camp) the mat page in the shop and I finally catch a glimpse of a Slaughter binding in an item shop, which is something I haven't seen for like almost a month now (and I got tons of them before this) ... And because of my mistake, instead of trying to buy it (which would take about 1 second), I ended up refreshing the page again right after I saw a glimpse of it, and about 0.2 second delay and the page refreshed again, it's gone...

If Tenb really believe in what he said that there's no bot and not just saying it as an excuse because he had no means to get rid of it (which I understand, and that's why I didn't argue with him). Well, let just say that I am truly sad... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif)


BTW, for someone that were perplexed about what exactly I'm trying to archive by doing this, report about bot and wasting mat and risk making myself look like an idiot in public and so on. The reason is simple and I'm surprise the thought didn't occurred to you: It's clear to anyone that Tenb do take great pain at preventing/getting rid of any kind of cheating or unfair advantage, and I just want to help... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif) ... It's the same reason why I like to bitch about balance; it doesn't take a genius to see that the game were designed with multiple, viable way of playing in mind (or at least that's way the game appeared to me when I first playing HV), and I bitch about it exactly because of that.
