I think for any number Tenboro cites for HV in regards to anything benefitting the player you have to multiply by 0.79.

Well no, since half my equipment drops come from the shrine and arena clear bonuses you really get less credits.

I reset hvstats 31 days ago. before that i would get equipment drop every 35 rounds. its at 34 now (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

No, you are right about the reduced quality. Before the update, Crude was a pretty rare drop for me. Less frequent than Exquisite for sure. Now I'm getting a dozen of them per day, and I haven't changed anything about my playing habits.

I used to get around Fine quality on normal before. Now I've upped the quality to Nightmare, and the vast majority is still fine. It would've been a lot more superiors, probably.

BTW, is shield tier 2 for Heavy? If so, I wonder whether the equipment item or its tier makes a bigger difference in equipment drops.

I see. Anyway here's my overall results with a legendary shield piece:

Still mostly fine, 1-2 crudes, a lot of average, a few superiors and 2 exquisites.

Still disappointing, but at least I got 1 usable item out of all that.
