Although Scavenger+Quartermaster (very slightly) affects your chances of getting one, in the end
it's all about real life luck. You might get one today, or you may never get one at all.

I'm at like 35/21/15/7. I think. None of which directly affects the rate of phase drops. I mean, Scavenger and Quartermaster makes MORE equip drop, which means you'll get more phase drops too. But nothing increases the RATE of phase drops. It's all luck. Like I didn't get a Kevlar drop until like level 200, yet I had like 5 phase drops by that point.

Don't forget difficulty and LoD. If I understood correctly the last Tenb's statement about Eth's, they can only drop with Fine or above qualities, so they reason why one +260 guys are getting occasionally is because despite having a little more equip drops, you have a lot more fine+ drops.

Maybe. Though I feel there's the risk that he'll implement the LoD change and at the same time drop the quality modifiers of the non-unique trophies, in order to maintain balance. At least that's what I would do. That would still make holding on to the Christmas/Year End trophies worthwhile though.

I'm not actually that rich. I pay 500$ rent, utilies are taken care of by my parents (I rent a room in their house), and I have a bit of money left over from what I do (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

If I had more money, I would've gotten a dedicated server to help me run an H@H client and to help me with my torrents (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

Is it just me, or is it hard to get staff proficiency? My staff proficiency is something like 3.5 or 4, and I only get a few hundredths of a proficiency point in Staff once in like even 8 hits.

Also, is it just me or is the percent chance of Ether Theft misleading? My current staff has 32% chance of proc, yet I haven't proced yet in over 200 hits (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Do you mean physical attacks?
Ether theft only procs when you cast magical attacks.

And yes, weapon proficiencies really raise that slow.
1 in 8 attacks is already pretty fast, actually.

i think staff prof seems harder to gain because mages are doing aoe most of the time and barely doing any MM. it should be as easy (or hard) as any other weapon.

Proc that first, and then hit them with staff for Ether Theft.

Battletoads. Apparently I can just Soul Burst spam him to death anyway. Kinda anti-climatic.

I guess I haven't done the Gods on BT yet, out of sheer laziness. Same reason I don't want to do do the Legendary arenas on BT.

Judging by the mana consumption, I can't just spam the other 2 to death either. Sigh.
