Wow for using such a crappy staff. This staff is given to me for being useful. I still have a set of sub-par armor for mages. Guess I need to save those credits then. My item drops lately are shade and power equipment.

I need to get a full set of Priestess gear (staff as well) and go into a Crude IW on IWBTH, using Regen II (probably Protection as well), and whacking enemies to death while healing more than the damage taken.

Other method is to cast Magic Missile when I need to conserve mana with a Focus staff, killing enemies with highest tiered spells first, then casting Magic Missile on the rest (probably on a lower difficulty setting like Nightmare). Cryfest would make sense.

Well I'm probably never going to full time mage unless melee is rendered unplayable by a patch though. Still can't get my mana usage to a level acceptable for longer arenas and stuff.

elemental gear use to up the damage of MM. If it still does try a set, start a GF, CF, IW and just kill stuff on normal. you'll clear more rounds that way.

Not much better.

Costs rise sharply as EDB and quality increases. Just look for the best ones you can get in WTS and budget yourself.
