QUOTE(Conquest101 @ Dec 29 2010, 22:50) Keep in mind I'm assuming 400 TOTAL Agi/Dex. Including equip + shrine bonuses. I'm far too lazy to figure out the exact bonuses those equip pieces give etc. etc. so I just chose a number. Overall, it might be somewhat lower, but oh well.
Didn't know you were including equipment and the shrine stats as well, thought you were just talking about base stats. From what I've seen on the few equips that were linked in this thread, those pieces do have very high evade, but the stat boosts are minuscule. It'll probably be just 10 stats from the shrine and a few stats from the equipment combined, if even that. So it'll still take around 380 - 385 ish base stats to hit 400. It's pretty interesting that one can reach 98% evade with the current best gear, even if theoretically. But the sad part about this is that even with all that evade, the one monster that manages to land a hit will most likely kill you, assuming you reach a high enough round. This is exactly like magic accuracy, despite having 99% accuracy, the one mob that resists your spell is the one that kills you, unless it misses of course.

Well, level 300 isn't a hard limit anymore, as Hito is proving, so it all balances out. Assembling all these pieces is pretty much impossible. Maybe if someone went around offering real money for them. Crits would get through more often anyway, correct? And it's not like it's impossible to just go forever in Grindfest even now. Heh, there probably isn't even a level limit in this game, just an endless time sink. Yes, crits would get through more often assuming they can not miss. I haven't tested this personally, but it's info that's pretty widespread on the forums so I'm assuming that it's correct. The fact that it's possible to go on forever in grindfest on later levels even now is what counterfeits the benefits of a full evade set imo. Makes me wonder what situations it's actually good for. Maybe good for BT arenas and ROB?

I never use my evade set anymore. At most I swap in a piece or two for certain battletoads things. Battletoads RoB stuff I guess. And maybe the Legendary arenas on battletoads and that's probably it.

This is exactly the reason why I don't buy fleet equipment anymore, couldn't visualize a scenario where it benefits me more than another set of equipment. Then again, I never really bought evade gear from the get go, so meh. And I can't really comment on the BT ROB thing since attempting to do BT anything right now is suicide for me at my current level. Edit: I'm going to stop posting now, the last 2 pages has been just us. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) This post has been edited by sushi0: Dec 30 2010, 08:10

Anyone know of any pre-nerf stuff higher than those listed?
I've got some pre-nerf feet that are base 5.25

Hoh. Well, it wouldn't significantly impact final result. Interesting though, I wonder what other pre-nerf pieces are floating around out there. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

QUOTE(Conquest101 @ Dec 30 2010, 04:50) Well, it seems Block/Evade are the big 2 anyways.
So, assuming the above is the highest possible evade + block. At level 300 with 300 Prof. and 400 Agi and 400 Dex.
For block: 79.47%
For parry: 28.16% + 16%
For evade: Cap : 17.07 Body: 15.35 Gloves: 13.65 Legs: 15.93 Feet: 11.38
So plugging those numbers into Sonic's calc: 54.84% + 16% + 5% + 3%
Finally, assuming 300 Prof. Shadow Veil: 35%
Totals = 79.47% Block, 44.16% Parry, 78.84% Evade, 35% Enemy Miss (assuming enemy accuracy is 100%).
Sonic's Calc gives us: 98.42% Physical avoidance + 95.66% Magical avoidance
Lol I got a number far superior, because I used the 300 stats like they were base. However just for the fun, I tried to mess up with some numbers in the Sonic's cal, and I can get 100% with one piece of 91%, and 4 of 85% (0 from other bonus) (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) This post has been edited by cmdct: Dec 30 2010, 13:36

QUOTE(Razorflame @ Dec 30 2010, 00:10) Boggy has a 20.79% parry dagger, not sure what its' base is, though. It might be higher than marcho's.
Nope, it's base is 11.78.
QUOTE(cmdct @ Dec 30 2010, 00:14) Lol I just noticed my dagger has the same base parry as well, which means (if my memory is correct) buktore has one even with bigger parry, not sure where he posted (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) I haz a dagger with base parry 13.86. But even at 250 that only goes up to 22.5 (it's at lvl160 right now with parry 19.4%) Not sure it's worth leveling to 250 to increase parry by 3% >_>

Why the hell does HV hate me so much? I've only gotten 6 Tokens of Blood in the past two weeks, almost all of which were on the same day. In comparison, I've gotten nearly 20 Tokens of Healing in the same timeframe. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) It's making me angry because I want to fight Konata so bad...

QUOTE(Death Grunty @ Dec 27 2010, 16:53) You should stop training ability boost soon. I stopped at 40/200 (next one costs 12,931). If you want AP then artifacts are the way to go at this point. 10k a piece. (You can get them cheaper too.) And if you want them fast. Buy artifacts, offer them to the shrine sell all hath you get this way, buy more artifacts until you're satisfied.
Buy artefact for 9000 Make offering "Your dexterity has been increased by 1" KAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I seem to have found the flaw in this plan. The problem is ultimately that Ability Boost becomes too expensive too quickly. It's 13,610 for Level 41. I just don't have that sort of cash. It seems there's no choice but to buy artefacts and hope for the best. This post has been edited by Frith: Dec 31 2010, 17:43

It's not a flaw. Stat boosts will become rarer as you go. I have turned in HUNDREDS of artifacts and I'm still missing 3 points. (They max at +10 you know.) And looking at other high levels I'll be close to 240 when I get my last point.

Good to hear they have a maximum. In the long run it'll definitely work out a lot cheaper buying artefacts, but in the short term it won't be much fun. If the maximum is +10 then that will be 60 disappointments, of which I've got three out of the way. I suppose it makes turning in an artefact more thrilling (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Edit: Bollocks to thrilling, I just used three more artefacts and got two stat boosts and one with two hath. I'm going to weep! This post has been edited by Frith: Dec 31 2010, 20:21

I have gathered almost 300 hath from artifacts alone since level 150.

if your stats becomes expensive to raise, you will appreciate that artifacts give stats.

+10 max is a drop in the bucket when you start getting 300 naturally, though.

The Tenbora's Box has a selling price of 20,000 at the bazaar. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) For comparison, anybody still have their Mysterious Box? What's its selling price?
