Begs the question though: how useful would a crude gossamer max prof piece would be? The bindings are cheap, and you won't be using mid grade parts until 3/4 through.

Thing is, the bonus damage from proficiency and edb are multiplied.

You get more bonus if its 2 times 2 than 3 times 1.

In this case, because you can naturally get proficiency, and a staff will also give proficiency, increasing your proficiency with gossamer pieces will be less beneficial than increasing EDB with phase peices. Factoring in level scaling and max base values, you can get about twice as much prof from gossamer than edb from phase, but going by a simplified damage calc,

Say you have 200 prof. You have the choice between 130 edb and 40 bonus prof, or 30 edb and 250 bonus prof.

This means you get a multiplier of 2.3*2.2 = 5.06 with set 1 and 1.3 * 3.25 = 4.225 for set 2

If you have no proficiency, the the multiplier is 2.3*1.2 = 2.76 for set 1 and 1.3*2.25=2.925 with set 2.

A very crude example, but I think it demonstrates the point. Proficiency from gossamer is slightly betterl if you have very little proficiency, but if you have good proficiency, then edb is much better.

Let's go with max values on equipment @300:

Say you have 300 prof and your choice is between 224 edb (5 legendary edb pieces + legendary destruction staff with max edb) and 71.94 bonus prof, or 23.03 edb and 431.64 bonus prof (5 legendary gossamer + legendary destr.).

This means you get a multiplier of 3.24*2.8597 = 9.27 with set 1 and 1.2303*4.6582 = 5.73 with set 2.

If you have no proficiency: 3.24*1.3597 = 4.41 with set 1 and 1.2303*3.1582 = 3.89 with set 2.


EDB is clearly superior.

Never have a starting bid lower then what you can sell the item to the Bazaar.

Low level items "can" be just as good as stuff that is +350 but you need to point that out with base stats or what the stats are @350 or something.

Also more people are going to look at auctions made by someone as high as him vs someone ~200. That isn't always a bad thing if you are the buyer, they can often get a good price on stuff.

And/or make small auctions with less equips. Too many equips will scatter bidders' attention so the really good ones may not be able to reach the optimum price.

Well when I see 200-300 items for sale I just go "oh shit" I don't want to look at that much stuff. That's why in most of my auctions I list some stats of the items being sold. That seems to work well if an item is only Fine but has very good stats.

People always show there equipments in Equipment thread , some people show there Forge equipments .
But what is use of such equipments if you don't able show your DAMAGE to other people.

Please show you maximum damage .

I remember , in past day , i asked some high level players for there maximum damage via PM .
And then most of all replayed that " Sorry i don't have goood equipments please ask for this guy ".... bla bla bla .

Here's the answer:
knowing the damage someone far below or beyond my level does is pointless. The scaling is rather steep so it's insignificant what someone else deals.
Equipment on the other hand scales and shows in stats, thus you can compare it with the stuff you own and make an educated guess to how far you're from maxing your preferred style.

Maan I really want a good staff so I can try maging. The recent patch made my robe kickass. And according to my calculations you can easily replace one piece in an edb set with a prof piece and still be close to the optimized effect of a full edb set.
