I've used all weapon types of weapons with my shade when doing BT-IW and arenas. Estoc isn't any different then the other ones. Light armor gives you evade, AGI, DEX & high action speed. You're not going to die just because you aren't using a mace.

And as to the other thing, I was doing the first page of arenas on IWBTH with full heavy and non-eth weapon without any shards and I wasn't popping potions. Someone doing that on lower settings shouldn't have that much of a problem.

The problem I keep seeing is people level too fast and can't or don't want to spend time keeping their proficiencies close to their level. Getting half the healing power of regen II, spells not lasting as long as they could, not casting spells that could keep them alive, If they use spirit shield & spark and not having any spirit tanks....

Trying to kill on a setting that is too hard for them is also a problem.

1. Okay, I'll be more accurate then: using estoc with kevlar isn't very comfortable. Kevlar's evade isn't high enough, plus it has burden and stuff.
2. I'm not a fan of powerlevel, so I keep my profs high:

Mace is best to use in IWBTH, it just takes twice as long with the benefit of not dying at all.

How do you guys play using estoc anyway? Spirit Stance and whack away? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) ... And if it's ok, how many turn it took to finished a round of, say, 6 monster at IWBTH in the usual play?

mostly just spirit stance, for low-risk IWBTH runs I drop a 200+ cleave on the enemy with the most HP or el1a/lord english
