Most high-level monsters can one-shot mages, since we have the defense of a sack of potatoes.

I just went FSM and got absolutely pwned. None of my status spells hit it. I couldn't silence it, nerf it, imperil it, nothing. I've never had this problem before. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Raise your deprecating prof. It's probably the easiest one to train, it shouldn't take long.

Good news, failing to weave curse still raise prof CODE 14 3 Your fail to weave the spell into the existing effects on the target. 14 2 You cast Weaken. 14 1 You gain 0.02 points of deprecating magic proficiency.

Estoc usage = instagib in the wrong direction on anything above Nightmare. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) At least I have to use a weapon besides a mace for item worlds. This post has been edited by Bunker Buster: May 6 2012, 18:36

ah that 810 was bleed from 30% balance scythe. Hrm so wpn damage is more important now for bleed. 29% bleed from my slaughter scythe hits for 866. And heartseeker adds to bleed now, 1082 w/ heartseeker.
Will try some runs w/ my ithilid and see how this goes. more slaughter armor needed mayhaps.

Not that it's bad, but there's a reason why I didn't asked for -100% mit for PA ... QUOTE(buktore @ Sep 25 2011, 05:07) -- Pierce weapon is easier to balance. However, because of high damage the mobs can dish out, the buff would need to be very large, to the point of making it almost broken ... Otherwise people would just stick to mace.
... And that exactly what this patch did! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) At any rate... Now it seem that we're back to ' PA vs Bleed' like in the past; back when nobody give a shit about melee. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) The good ol' days. No, it's PA vs. Stun, because Bleed is mediocre at high levels now. Needs better scaling/debuff effects.

BTW, The age old myth that Tenb balancing stuff using the ratio of people using it, which I did jab at it in the past: QUOTE(buktore @ Apr 16 2011, 02:03) Heavy is already overpower; tons of people use them. And so, nothing should be done to it.
... and today, because of this statement: QUOTE(Tenboro @ May 6 2012, 23:58) We'll see if this combined with the skill changes shifts the ratio any.
It's myth confirmed. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) This would explain the buff to stun some patches ago, which was quite drastic and basically came out of nowhere... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

The reason Heavy Armor got so much better now is that the stat bonuses on the equipment that are relatively high got boosted substantially, not due to any scaling changed on Heavy Armor itself.
Kevlar's also more appealing now, as the stat boosts on that eclipse all but Shadowdancer Shade.
