dont get too greedy or your luck turn down

All melee skills seem to scale faster through Dexterity than Strength. I'm convinced that Dexterity is the *real* melee stat and Strength is just something you dump points into. Intellect has more of an effect on magic damage per point than Strength does for melee damage.

I did a quick test about that sometime ago since I kinda curious whether skill dmg are based on DEX like monster or not:- DW + Light / Heavy set and using Iris strike. Both set have almost exactly the same base dmg (with DW equipped) but differ in STR and DEX (though my focus of the test was mainly on DEX). The DEX difference was about 50-60 I think, which I believe to be quite significant enough to show the difference if there are any ... I didn't noticed any significant dmg difference between the 2 set. My conclusion at the time was that, even if it's there, the difference is too small for me to care about, 'luck' is the main factor here, like every shit in HV. How do you set up the test btw? Did you test it by adjusted the main stats and then test? I haven't try that yet...

I built up STR after dropping DEX to 290 and then did the reverse with STR. While normal melee hits went up with STR-favored, I lost about 4% crit and Shatter/Frenzied were doing about 15% less damage on average than the DEX-favored stat set.

Melee skills seem to have DEX as a primary factor in a multiplier as opposed to STR which just increases base melee damage, which also seems to be factored in, though clearly less importantly than DEX.

Shrining Noodles for equipment is not worth it. In former times I did it too, and only once I've got something decent. You better shrine them for weapons instead (I especially prefer 2H) 'cause:

A. Even if it's not awesome - you can still sell it to somebody
B. Even if it's total crap - it's still cost more on the bazaar than cotton or leather
C. You can get an ethereal, which is sexy
D. Exquisite/Magnificent/Legendary weapons are worth something anyway. Exquisite/Magnificent/Legendary cotton and leather (which is 90% of rewards) are worth nothing almost always.
